Didn't do pre-op

There's a thread here where people are sharing their myfitnesspal names. If you're using that app' date=' it's good to be able to see others daily good diaries.[/quote']I'm not on that app but I will look into it
Thank you

I'm not sure what my calorie intake is' date=' but I do eat every couple hours. Morning, I ease my stomach into fluids and take my medicine (thyroid). then a Protein bar, then yogurt, eggs or toast with Peanut Butter. I always eat only things that have nutritional value. Then in the afternoon I eat a few vegetables, Soup (which is not that nutritous but easy to take). Then I eat fruit in the evening as a treat. Hope this helps![/quote']Thank you , see I don't eat fruits maybe that's where I can get my calories from

How far are you out from surgery? What were your Surgeon/Nut guidelines? Your doctor may not be well-versed in WLS. I'd consult the Surgeon/Nut.I'm 10weeks out and my surgeon was the one who told me to eat that many calories

I have noticed when I don't eat enough that my heartburn acts up as well. I am eating about 700-800 calories a day. That could be it as well , now my problem is how to eat 1000cal as he recommended unless I drink them but that's not healthy either :-(
-
Hi everyone I went to see my doctor due to heartburns . He gave me some medicine for that but he also asked me about my calorie intake which I told him it's 600-750 he said its too low I need to eat 1000-1200 a day. More now that I'm thinking at the gym. Now I have a hard time eating 750cals as is can't imagine what to eat to get me to 1200cal
He also put be back at eating every 2hrs no exceptions. Can someone that is eating that much give me an example of their menus please.... Thank you all :-)

Newlife: What day was your sleeve done? We seem to be losing at same rate which is encouraging too me since I have had 2 plateausI had my surgery June 25
Yesterday I went to see my surgeon because I've been experiencing heartburn for the last week now. He told me that my calories are low I need to eat 1000-1200 calories a day. So he put me back to eating every 2hrs :-(
How are you doing with your eating?

Awesome that gives me an idea
I didn't know if the body thinks it's starving if it runs on 300calories after exercise
-
I have hired a personal trainer to help me with my exercise. I know we are suppose to increase our calorie intake when we work out but I don't know by how much? Or what to say to increase it
I'm 9wks post op and eat about 500-700 calories a day . I'm estimating to work out about 1 to 1.5 hrs a day burning about 300-700 calories will my body be able to handle it ? Please help me

I guess I must be eating real slow because it can take me 4 hrs to eat 3oz of chicken plus 1/2 a cup of beans..... :-( smh

It actually has a scanner,So you can scan the barcode on packaged food and it will and it to you daily food intake.[/quote']Yes I use it too, I honestly found it better than myfitness.....also you can track your exercises
Its great!!!

I was in a stall and increase my calories by 200 a day and since lost 5 pounds in a weekend! I know it doesn't make sense but it works. You increased 200 calories from what amount?
I started off eating 370 then 480 then 600 and now 742-800 on days I walk 2 miles
My surgeon told me I should be eating 1000cal which I can't do :-(

I'm in the same boat :-( its 6 weeks out lost 27lbs but have gained 2 urrrggggg! Its frustrating! I measure my waist, thigh, breast, belly and nothing has changed. I eat 60-90g of Protein and try to stay below 30g of Carbs drink my Water 64oz but nothing happens!!! I've heard if the 3 week stall but not to be stalled for 3 weeks. I know its a process but still gets frustrating not to see results. Can ya'll tell me what your eating if you are 6 weeks postop ? My surgery date was 5/10/13 and I have lost 55 lbs total' date=' including my preop diet.I am in my late thirties, a single mom and have been divorced three years. The last few days I have noticed that guys are starting to look at me like I am attractive. It is an amazing feeling. I finally feel like maybe I am ready to dip my toe in the dating scene. I registered on a free online dating site and have been weeding out the weirdos. I may have a lunch date in a couple of days but it is bringing up all kinds of anxiety.
How do I explain that I cannot eat much? Do I say anything at all or just nibble at my food?
Aside from that anxiety there is the anxiety about men. Some of the men noticing me are men who would never have given me the time of day when I was heavier. That beings up a lot of insecurities.
Do you eventually tell someone about surgery if you date them? I'm haven't hidden the surgery from people in my life but I almost wonder what most men would think if they knew about surgery?
Am I being neurotic and insecure? (Yes!)
Anyone else feel this way? How did you handle it?[/quote']
Hi...
I did the same webt on a dating site and have received several emails. Im 5 weeks postop and webt out on a date last week. I did tell the guy of my surgery he took it very well. We webt out to eat dinber abd I had about 2oz of salmon abd 2-3 bites of the mashpotatoe he giggled and sait it was cute :-) lol
Since then when I tell him Im hungry he says hold on I think I can spare a french frie for you... Lol so basically we joke about it.
If you dont want to tell them then just make it a coffee date at Starbucks you can have tea :-) he will not notice at all.

That's really not bad especially if you are only eating 1/2 at a time - that's 380 per serving
Yeah thats what I thought :-) the other meals sound good too but the sodium varies from 760-1100 but again its not bad if we split in 2
I will definitely try the chili it sounds good

Oh I won't be heavy lifting anything. LoL!!! It took them actually well! I have also eaten Melba Toast and these bruschetta rounds I found at Wal-Mart that are not too bad for their nutritional stuff. I have also eaten Cheerios' date=' which are yummy! I eat those for breakfast when I am out of Protein bars. So far I have tolerated those good as well. Next Tuesday is salads and lean meats, then after that, on 8/6, I get to eat almonds! I'm so excited about that because I like to use that as a snack, plus it is small enough where I don't feel too bad about wasting food. Haha! I also get to work in the flatbreads and sandwich rounds then.

I'm gonna try the Cheerios that sounds yummy and should be soft enough to eat. Im excited a new thing to eat.
I can't tolerate chicken, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, yet hope to be able pretty soon. I love fish but so much I can eat of that.
I tried meatballs it was ok and I ate a little bit of mushy rice to see if it goes down and it did well.
Flat bread!! Love it I guess with hummus would be a good snack :-)

1 week Post op - 264
One month post op - 239
I'm 5'6" and 35 lbs down since surgery...this is according to dr's office. My scales are way off if so! I weighed at exactly 1 month (7/17) and was only 22lbs down according to my scales. I am having tuna fish (in lite mayo and dill relish) with crackers for dinner. So far have moved to all stages with no issues. I get to start salads next Tuesday! I started going to gym this Tuesday and have done treadmill' date=' bicycle, and elliptical. They said I can do whatever I want yesterday at 1 month post op appt, so I will probably start that next week. Keep up the good work everyone!
