  1. This is really good to know. I'm not sure what to expect. I guess I should expect the unexpected!
  2. I don't really trust my scale anymore. I'll probably poke the doctor's office monthly and ask them if I can use their scale real quick. I hope they won't mind...
  3. I'll just be happy when I can trim down there again. I admit, I am moisturizing that area with a firming lotion. I hope it helps.
  4. Wow, that's quite a Christmas present!
  5. Funny, I started with the blog here and decided to move it out to Blogger.
  6. *hugs* Hang in there. It's gonna get better.

I hear I'm gonna lose some hair after this surgery. Will this be enough hair to be an excuse to buy and wear wigs? How much hairloss are we talking here?

  10. You were always beautiful. I'm really glad you're happier.
  11. Grats! That's fantastic. *thumbs up*
  12. I've done it too. I've cried in my cubicle. I'm not at that job anymore. But decorating your cubicle could help! Like one of those glowy color-changing lights you can get at Ikea or those earthy-happy stores at the mall. Bright and friendly artwork is good too! Also, you can get one of those natural light lamps, that will help. Good luck!
  13. I didn't have a breaking point. For me it was when my husband found out our health insurance covered the surgery. He said something like "Would you like to consider weight loss surgery?" and I replied with "Let's do it." without any reservations. I actually surprised myself with this response, but the more I thought about it, the more feelings that I had been holding back all these years poured out. Feelings like, "I'm the nicest person in the freakin' world, I DESERVE to be cute and little!" It's silly, I know, but yeah...
  14. Thanks a bunch!

    Woohoo! You go girl!
  16. Me and my hubby have been working on the change off of soda for 2 weeks now. I dropped soda like a rock and he's still struggling. Granted, he's working 12 hour days right now, so all the changes we're required to do have been harder for him. He can't find an alternative to soda yet.
  17. I'm 28 and I'm SO worried about this too. In another thread, I learned that Nivea Q10 is good for your skin, so I'll be trying that post-op.
  18. Has anyone used the UP system from Jawbone? Do you like it? I found it here: https://jawbone.com/up?r=awup10&gclid=CN2Wrv3Xl7kCFWuCQgodpncAQw
  19. Sounds great! I'm glad you were able to get out and see people again.
  20. Who on earth told you to have a hysterectomy?
  21. I'm 28 and never... Never... Hmmm...

  23. That picture gives me so much hope!
  24. When I was working with the first doctor to get the band, they were like "Eat whatever you want! Gain weight!" But my current doctor, who I trust much more, has put me on a strict diet. "Protein, vegetables, and water!" she said.
