Hi Ron
I also had my First visit mid may and done a month later. How are you feeling since the surgery. I got home yesterday and I feel like I have been hit by a bus very sore around the chest area and I would have a very high pain threshold so a little worried that I can't take deep breaths easily. Other than that I am not hungry and I hope that feeling lasts forever.
Hey tracie,
I still have some abdominal cramping, but the shoulder pain is gone, I have not needed pain meds for the last two days, so It is bearable..... I went for my first longer walk about 2 miles, and today I am going to try the treadmil at the gym.....
If I maybe a little crude, I took gas aid strip on a regular basis, as well I took a dose of Miralax, both did wonder for my pain level and cramping, you might like ot try ... let me know, be well, R

I paid for it privately as a public patient you could be on a 5 year waiting list or if you are insured ( I am not) you can have it done under some policies I think you have to meet some criteria. It cost 7500 privately and this includes one year of follow up fills and check ups. I have a 10cc band with my first ck in 1month. I live near Galway it is a beautiful part of the country.Hey tracie, so how did it go... My surgery was on the 13th as well... All went well, nurses, doctor and staff were so supportive , professional and kind. In the us , I was not eligible for insurance so I pay privately as well. I started my first visit in mid may... And a month later I had my surgery.. Even if I was eligible with my insurance I would have had to wait 6 months to be approved... Anyway hope All is well , Ron

Steph is right, photo help, I read a great book by Ann Lamott, she reminds us that we have two type of voices in our head, one that tell us how successful, wonderful , beautiful, and committed we are.. The other voice, well it is the voice that put us down, reminds us of our failures and want to shame us... Well Lamott just has a trick, identify the particular thought , says, remember last time, u were at this weight, u fail... Pretend it is a little mouse that say it, pick it up by the tail in your mind and put it in a Manson jar, and you keep doing that till those negative voices are. All put away in a sealed Manson jar... It works, i did it , I keep doing it, and soon u start to recognize that negative voice or thought and u can laugh it away....
