First Appointment
It depends on your insurance company (I'd start there) they all require basically the same things, only some require a 3 or 6 months medically supervised weigh loss programs that you can do with your primary doctor.

NSV: 38.75 Inches Lost in 2 months and 10 days!
When I lost 40lbs on Atkins, u used the measuring tape more than the scale. This time, I didn't measure, but my doctor's office DID.

Interesting. Thanks!- SOFT food vs. MUSHIES
GOSH, that sounds YUMMY!! (Did you make your own chili?)- food
It's so easy to make our own.... The restaurants usually add corn starch to their egg drop Soups. I guess you can ask them NOT to use CS. I take the Lipton soup that comes in the red box. I dump it all in boiling Water. After about two minutes, I start to drain the noodles out... Scramble an egg and swirl it around as I slowly drop the egg in. Delicious.- Be honest i can handle it
Look, I'll be honest, but I don't think you'll like what I have to say.... So, if you can REALLY "handle it" let me know and I'll tell you what I see/think.- Hungry
Three within how many hours??- Hungry
I too drink the Boost High Protein... They are a TREAT frozen, or semi-frozen. There's one thing I don't get, if you're hungry to the point where your stomach is grumbling, why don't you just EAT?!! If you're at that point, your body is telling you it's running on empty... Drink a shake!!- nausea in morning
Or..... Just start smoking something ELSE! LoL J/K!!- Freaked myself out by reading Negative experiences. Give me the truth, please.
When i went in for my initial consultation, after attending the seminar and doing *some research on my own, I was set on the band. Two of the men on the doctor's team "convinced" me of having the sleeve done instead. They painted a not-so-pleasant picture of the aftercare; however, I went home and FURTHER researched all three types, and called the office a few days later and told them I was gonna go with the BAND.... (Turned out that I didn't have my surgery at that hospital anyways)- First fill... Didnt go to great...
I'm counting on it!! Thanks!!! <3- First fill... Didnt go to great...
I had a TERRIBLE black & blue from my first fill. He poked me in the first spot (I didn't even feel the needle because he was pressing down SO DAMN hard) then he looked at my post op esophogram to determine the exact position my post was in and found it in SECONDS with the next try. My question is: WHY didn't he check the x-ray first!!!!! Gggggrrrrrr!!! Anyway, my second fill is tomorrow, and both prick sites are still visible; however, I HAVE been marking with a pen or a marker the right spot.... And the black and blue is almost all gone.- NSV: 38.75 Inches Lost in 2 months and 10 days!

I'd say!!!- issues with #2
I'm one month and a week post op and I DO have this issue on some days (no blood). Before surgery, I followed a low carb diet (for the most part) and my BM were at least twice a day... It was a pleasure to go. LoL. I'm currently using glycerin suppositories because they work fast and do not leave you with a sore bumm. However, it's not safe to depend on them, so once this bottle is finished, I guess I'll drink more water and eat more fiber-rich veggies. Good luck! I hope it's nothing serious.- Medical Card for discounts at restaurants

Take hubby to your next appointment with the surgeon. If anything, HIS (hubby's) is the only opinion that carries some weight, everyone else can SUCK it! They have no idea what it's like to live as a BANDit, it's NOT the lazy, easy way out!! If you need more time to lean more about life post op, then by all means, take your time. Just remember, we will be here to help you through it if you decide to go ahead and do it. Ps. That is one of the reasons I chose NOT to tell friends/family about my surgery- Freaked myself out by reading Negative experiences. Give me the truth, please.
If 6/10 people banded have complications OR revisions, I don't think doctors would be performing so many... Check the source of that info, it sounds like rubbish.- ugh frustrated
I had such LOUSY day today!! I am also between my 1st & 2nd fill..... And today I had wayyyyyy too many carbs for the first time. Boohoo. Tomorrow is a new day. - Are your vitamins working for you?
