Hmm.... I tried some pro-op and found it far too smoky and quite disgusting. Perhaps it was a different brand? I love jerky and I love bacon. I thought it sounded brilliant but the smell alone almost had me hurling.

Thanks, but it seems like time is crawling for me. I am both anxious and excited about the surgery. I have a desk job and it seems like I am getting up every 15 minutes to move around and work off some nervous energy.

Good Luck! I was on the fast track too went to my first dr appointment in Sept and the procedure done in Nov. It moves very fast.

I did a google search and found several recipes. I liked one with red pepper. My mom likes hot stuff too, so I forwarded the recipe on to her. Hopefully, we can put up some spicy pickled green beans when I visit on Sunday.

I LOVE pickled green beans. The recipe I use is from the Ball Canning Blue Book. It's called Dilly Beans, and if you look it up you're sure to find many tasty recipes. Traditionally, Dilly Beans have cayenne pepper, garlic, and dill. Yummy.
