  1. Hey everyone! Banded 3/27 and at 22 lbs weight loss. Amping up my workouts (as well as focusing in calories) to amp up my progress. Been doing quick 20 minute jogs before work but one of my coworkers recoed longer incline walks for weight loss. Thoughts? Makes sense as I actually find it harder to walk on an incline than jog flat! However jogging just seems like more if a workout. Thoughts?

  2. This is so helpful. I thought it was only me with noticing the "lows" going down!!! Totally agree, I need to string many of those good days together :) also as someone mentioned I totally never lose eating a lot of carbs. I'm sticking to veggie burgers and sashimi (just the fish no rice) a scrambled egg at breakfast...my only carb is a mission low carb tortilla with laughing cow spread around 4pm. Will keep the good days comin!

  3. Has anyone else experienced this? Yesterday I had the perfect eating day after a weekend completely off the wagon and actually now weigh 2 lbs more than I did yesterday! Wtf! Has anyone experienced this? Are the weekend transgressions showing up on my body now? Ugh...I was hoping for at least a bit of instant gratification by way of like half a pound...but gain? I only had about 700 calories yesterday!

  4. I lost 8 lbs first week' date=' was at 12 lbs at 4 week post op appointment...and at 8 weeks out- I am only at 14 lbs since surgery. My PA said that most people average 12 lbs at 6 weeks out because the body is going through such shock! Just keep doing things the right way! It will come off!

Same thing with me! About 22 lbs 8 weeks out and 12 was in first week. Just stay focused and keep yourself honest with food and drink. I've been partying a lot due to feeling more confident with the initial weight loss. Reigning myself in this week using my fitness pal. Going to focus on keeping a food journal, staying away from "slippery" foods and drinking Water while eating. This is a long game. We can do this! No rush!

  5. These are all awesome perspectives to hear. I started using my fitness pal today so I will have to write down everything I eat. No point lying to myself! It's interesting to hear how the band effects people though. I can literally eat anything I want after 3 fills!!! My doctor is taking me up slowly (I think I'm at 6 or 6.5 ccs about 2 months post surgery). As long as I chew slowly, I get full but if I want to indulge I can. You are all convincing me to be more vigilant and not listen to the devil on my shoulder that says "you had such a good day and worked out, a few Snacks won't kill you!)

Will keep updated with my progress. Can't wait to try the teeth brushing trick today :)

  6. So here is my question. I eat very healthy during the day, perfect portions and good choices. I exercise almost every day. I am losing weight, about 2 lbs a week (banded 3.27.13 and 23 lbs down) but I know I could do more if I didn't go crazy every night. I drink wine, make a pretty indulgent dinner (my new thing is to sauté a lean cuisine with olive oil and add maybe a lil meat) and literally I can eat like 5 Rice Krispie treats or Fiber 1 bars. How do I make myself stop if I am still losing weight slowly? Any advice? Thank you:)
