  1. Oh that's great! I know it's coming off but don't know where lol! But don't matter right? I'm glad to see your in the same time frame as me. Please keep me updated as I will to you, it's nice to have someone at the same starting point as yourself! Are you having any issues? I seem to be on track as to where I should be I think....I am experiencing diarrhea daily a d don't know if that is normal. I go back to dr on Thursday and will be scheduling my first fill 4 weeks from now. How about you?
  2. I am one week out and feel good! I am o er the hump and couldn't be happier with my decision! I am a low BMI and only had one week of the pre op diet in which I lost 5 lbs....so I stepped on the scale this morning and am down another 7 lbs! 7 lbs in one week?? Crazy right?. So total down is 13 and I am o er the moon!!! Still swollen and stomach is still bloated so I don't look any different but I know it's happening!
  3. Yay! You will do great! If you need questions answered, this is the place!
  4. It is an extremely personal decision. If you choose not to disclose your surgery, then so be it. People can be rude sometimes and not realize. Next time someone asks about your portions just turn to them and say"why do you ask?" They will either close their mouths or say I'm worried. Assure them you are fine and they have nothing to worry about....they won't ask again.
  5. You look fabulous! Such a great feeling you must have had! Keep up the good work!
  6. I too suffered with that as well. I also had hernia repair which was a double whammy. I was told by my surgeon to start taking extra strength Tylenol in liquid form, it is only available as children's so I needed to triple the dose to 3 tsp. he said it helps heal from the inside out. Well I can honestly say that once I started it yesterday afternoon, I started coming around. Today was a better day and I start stage 2 on Sunday and am looking forward to some farina! Aaa heheh the simple things! I also used a heating pad continually and propped myself up with pillows. Walk when you can, I did figure eights all around my kitchen lol! It gets better and you will look back and say wow!
  7. I stayed overnight also, and am glad I did. The nurses were wonderful and encouraging
  8. Healthy dip, congratulations! I wish you success and good health! How are you feeling?
  9. I am 3 days post op and have a follow up appt with my surgeon today. I am struggling with the gas pain in my chest and shoulders...had a rough night feels like I am having difficulty breathing from the pressure. I think they will start me on phase two today as well. I am barely getting down clears but do better with the warm broth. Hoping tomorrow is a better day! How is everyone doing?
  10. I know your right, thanks for the continued support
  11. I was banded on the fifth also! I had hernia repair, and am not moving the gas. Everyone mentions right shoulder pain, I have left??? Also my stomach is sooo distended, it looks like I am 8 months preggers...is this you too? I also stepped on scale and was 6 lbs heavier than the surgery day
  12. Whew! Thanks! Now I know it's just another post op hump!
  13. Thanks! I was so nervous about the after effects too! I was driving myself into a state of nerves, now that its said and done, it really isn't anything you can't handle. Just keep in the back of my mind that it is TEMPORARY and it will get better every day! Good luck you will do great!
  14. Is it normal to be experiencing heartburn on day one post op? Help
  15. Congratulations! I was banded yesterday and am feeling quite sore and gas in chest. I had a hernia repair as well and I think that's where the chest pains are originating from....hoping for a better day tomorrow
  16. I was banded yesterday the 5th of aug and am having a hard time getting even half of what I am supposed to get down ( stage 1 ). I am in discomfort and had a hiatal hernia repair. Hope tomorrow goes easier
  17. I am coughing also, getting phlem up too. I didn't know that was going to happen. I also keep my heating pad on my belly and another on my shoulders. I am having a hard time getting fluids down. Just feel like its forced and there is no room. How about you?
  18. Banded aug 5th! Home and resting somewhat comfortable. Well as comfortable as I can. Gas and shoulder pain seems manageable for day 2 or would this be day 1 if I was banded yesterday?
  19. So happy to hear your feeling good! Makes me hopeful!
  20. I'm happy for your continued success, I will keep you posted on my journey
  21. Wow look at you! The incredible shrinking woman! You look amazing. Good job!
  22. I'm happy that your on the road to a better life with band. I am thankful for your honesty and advice. I am prepared for a rough couple of days and have prepared my husband as well. I told him not to freak out if he sees me struggling with pain and emotional upset. I am excited and not as scared as I was. I am ready! How are you sleeping now?
