  1. Hi Lesslee

I thought I would drop a note to ask if you every found enough people for a support coffee group? I also only told my husband and can only talk to him, I think his ears are getting tired of listening to me. I was banded in June 2013 like you and have loss 30 lbs now and I am work out like crazy. I joined a tough love Challenge at the gym and boy is it work. I see you are also doing a lot of working out. Great! I live in Montreal. So maybe it would be nice to meet up sometime in the future.

  2. Well I know I have been MIA. However I am back and I am finally starting to feel normal again (not sure i was ever normal Ha Ha). Day 3 and 4 was tough For me I had a lot of pain in my stomach at the band location and I found if I could eat more food it would help, by more I mean my 2 Soups with Protein and 2 Protein Shakes per day. I have no shoulder pain. I am still a little sore but it is manageable today. I did not receive any pain medication from my doctor so I was so scare to take tylenol but the pain was to much so I crushed Tylenol and took this but still a lot of pain the first 4 to 5 days. Yesterday I finally left the house for a small walk which was nice. So I will go back to work on Tuesday which is one week from my surgery day. I am down 20lbs since my pre op diet. Started on my scale 209.8 and as of yesterday I was 189. So let the journey begin. Good Luck to everyone and the key is to get through the first week. Bye for now!

  3. I was banded on June 25 and I still have a lot of pain. My doctor said I can take Tylenol but I not sure what kind and do I have to crush it? I have taken the children chewable and it does not seem to work so well. I then tried easy swallow tylenol but it was so big i chewed it and the taste was awful. What are others using for pain relief? Please let me know.

  4. Well I am banded. I arrived at 6:00am. We did paperwork and I changed and was on the table for 8:30 and woke up in the recovery at 10:00 and was in my room at 10:30. I feel ok as long as I was laying. Went I got up to walk I was very nausea and would gag. So the nurse gave me nausea medicine. I slept most of the afternoon and was sore when I tried to get out of bed. I stayed at the hospital 1 night my choice so I had good care and had some pain medicine around 7:00. I feel more sore today maybe because of the gas not sure. I am rest in bed and every hour I do my walk around the house. I am taking Tylenol for pain but can still feel it. It is hard to get comfortable on the bed. I am sure it will be better on day 3 and day 4. Good Luck everyone!!
