  2. Well I quit trying after I had it but have recently picked up again and went from 316lbs to 279lbs since April 16... I don't have any issues with my band most days I can eat but with the weather and stress I sometimes have a hard time eating! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner! How was your doc appointment? How did u do?
  3. YES!! And I stress a lot so I have to remind myself to calm down before I eat!! And make sure I chew a few extra times!
  4. No it's normal to crave! My doc says that if its really a craving a small taste will satisfy! After you take a bite walk away and forget about it!
  5. Congrats!! I love my band! Best decision I ever made!
  6. I started out at one hospital went through their seminar and did NOT like their surgeon! My mom was seeing the only surgeon who accepted her insurance I went to her seminar with her an quickly changed docs!!! Make sure you like your surgeon and look look look around before you settle!
  7. I know just how you feel!! My mom and I had Lapband at the same time and she was always smaller than me! So when we started losing weight all her stuff now fits me and she buys new! I also went from a 26/28 to a 18/20!! It feels awesome! Keep us the good work!
  8. How are u doing? How much have u lost?
  9. Never had them... Not really a chickpea fan! But then again I never ate asparagus and tried it love it!! Also spaghetti squash!! So maybe I should add this to the lost of things to try!
  10. You could google and read up on it or ask your doc...
  11. Thanks everyone! I talked to hubby about how I was feeling this morning and I was just upset bc I had a busy weekend made poor eating choices and miss my brother ( he's a marine and he's stationed away) and yesterday was a bad day with all the food and missing him. So when I stepped on the scale and gained 4 pounds this morning it hit me hard! So today I'm gonna eat better, go to the gym and just get back on track! Thank everyone!
  12. Where are u located ?
  13. I weighed 350lbs when I got my Lapband in 2010. I was 22 and had 2 children. I stopped trying shortly after dropping 50lbs.. And had 2 babies! I am now 25 years old with 4 kids and have recently started up again at 304lbs and am down to 279lbs but find myself going into my old habits! Maybe I really can't do this and am gonna be this big forever!
  14. Anyone else banded on this day?
  15. I was banded in October 2010 and like most of you lost about 50lbs and was doing great! Met the new love of my life and due to a misplacement of my mirena got pregnant with our daughter who is now a healthy and happy 20 month old. I then continued to lose about 10lbs that I had gained when I was pregnant. Then in July of 2012 I found out I was pregnant again with our second daughter.. I gained about 15lbs with her which put me at 316lbs the day before she was born.. I then decided after I had her that I needed to lose this weight! I wanted To be there for my 4 kids (2 of which I had in a previous abusive relationship)! And that I was slowly killing myself by not utilizing the tool I so badly wanted! A month after my last daughter was born I saw my lapband surgeon i weighed 304 lbs and decided then and there that i needed a fill! i got 1 1/2CCs added to my 10CC band making it 6 1/2 CCs on April 16th and I lost 25lbs to date! I joined a gym and am exercising and eating healthier! I can't wait to keep up this journey because this is my last restart bc I'm NOT quoting again!
  16. I am from Altoona Pa... I was banded in October 2010.. Had 2 babies but am now back on track and went from 350lbs to 279lbs! How are you doing with your band ?
  17. Congrats on all your success! I love hearing everyone's success stories it makes me work harder!
  18. You can definitely tell the difference! You look awesome!! Keep up the good work!
  19. I was banded in October 2010 and was stuck at 50lbs or so lost! I stopped trying and got pregnant twice but managed to keep off the 50lbs but I still felt like a failure! 3 weeks after my last daughter was born I went in and got a fill! 1 1/2 CCs added to my already 5ccs so now I have 71/2 CCs in my 10CC band! And since that fill on April 16 I have lost 26lbs! YOU can do this! I agree the band is a tool and you have to change how you eat! I changed everything this past month after my fill! I eat 1200 cal, 50-60g Protein and 80 carbs a day! And I read everything I eat! I worked at it at the beginning but now it's just second nature! Don't get me wrong I have a bad day every now and then where I feel like I can't get full! Yesterday was one and I get upset but I never give up! YOU are NOT a failure! You telling us you don't wanna give up and you wanna know what's wrong means you still wanna try! I would be bitching at my doc or finding a new one! Good Luck!
