Typical daily menu
The only thing constant in my diet is chicken. I eat grilled chicken every day in different ways. I grind up grilled chicken, cook it with taco mix and it with refried Beans and salsa - sometimes with shredded cheese, or dip grilled chicken chunks in some bbq sauce, or put Adobo seasoning on it. Since my sleeving, I don't ever get a desire for a certain "flavor". food has become pretty much just something I need to live. So I eat the same old thing pretty much every day.

Best VSG Blogs?
I haven't really run across any bloggers that didn't eventually stop blogging. I think the best place to get that kind of info is on this forum.

falling off the wagon - help!
I got around the head hunger by eating more Protein or low carb sweets like the atkins bars. Also I told myself, "I'll eat the high protein low carb stuff first, if I still want the ice cream, I'll have some." Most of the time, I didn't get around to eating the ice cream, other times I did. It got easier the more I did it. And I did like vjslim suggested, remove the temptations from your house. If I really wanted something so bad, I'd have to get in the car and drive down to the store. It worked really well, I have to really really want something to get dressed and drive to the store at 9 at night! But I'm sure there is surveillance footage of me buying a cherry pie at Wal-Mart late at night.

I can definitely see a big difference between month 1 and 2. Your bed is definitely less messy! Keep up the good work, you are looking thinner, I can see how baggy your shirt is getting. Keep pimpin that sleeve.- Hello, I'm Lisa
BrandNewMe17, Welcome to the board. Good luck at the seminar.- I am stuck and not sure why
It could just be your body replenishing glycogen stores in your muscles. It takes 4 oz of water for each 1 oz of glycogen stored. Or it could be like in my case (this has happened twice in 8 weeks), a REALLY BIG poo. Seriously, I lost almost 2 lbs after going each time. So keep in mind how often your going to the bathroom, that could be the extra weight.- I'm not eating or drinking enough... Day 3 post op
I wouldn't worry about it this soon after surgery. Your stomach is still swollen. I didn't eat more than 4 or 5 sugar free popsicles the 1st 5 days after surgery and drank almost nothing. Then things started getting easier, my food and water intake increased as my stomach healed. It was almost 2 weeks before I got close to the recommended protein and water intake.- how is everyone getting this gauze tape residue off
- EGD - Swallow, Don't Bite
I wasn't always lucky. I had to go back in for more blood tests pre-surgery and they couldn't find a vein, and the day of surgery, they had trouble finding the vein again. I was feeling like a pincushion after a while. :-P- EGD - Swallow, Don't Bite
Thanks Momonanomo, I am a closet comedian. And going through the sleeving process is so stressful, I try to lighten the mood. Hopefully no one takes it the wrong way.- FREAKING OUT
I know the feeling, I was sorta in denial that the whole thing was real - until they wheeled me into the pre-op waiting room. Then it really hit me.- Houston-SETX Sleevers?!
I'm in Beaumont, got sleeved in Dec. over in League City. Good to find a fellow Golden Triangler. Kinda strange, but it made me feel better just knowing there were fellow sleevers in my area.- My breakfast

I had a similar internal dialogue and actually backed out on my first attempt to see the doctor. What turned the corner for me was this question - Can I continue to live this way and do I want to be in this situation a year from now? I realized that I couldn't do it on my own and I could only see my quality of life going downhill.- what is the best birth control method
- Help! I need low calorie snack ideas!
I tried pistachios toady - in the shell. Yummy! And being in the shell means it takes longer to eat them. Lots of fiber and viskamins (insert Popeye laugh here).- My 3 month photo made me cry
Congrats on your weight loss. I know where you're coming from. When I was at my heaviest, I could look in the mirror and know that the image I saw wasn't the real me and I wasn't suppose to look that way.- what is the best birth control method
Don't back out gman, wifey will oogle your buns!!- what is the best birth control method
I refuse to answer that question because it may tend to incriminate me, and my personal interest in preserving my dignity. - 2 months Progress Pic!
