  1. Thank you everyone for your kind words! I just needed to vent
  2. Yeah only a few select people know I am having surgery- my aunt because she's my ride to and from the hospital, my primary doctor and of course the medical staff at True Results, all you wonderful people, and my son only because he went with me to my second appt. I am using vacation time for surgery also so I don't have to use fmla so work won't even know! I was going to try and do surgery and take the next day off but they only do surgeries Thursday and Fridays so I requested 2 wks off due to reading many post on here about being uncomfortable for a couple wks post op. I got completely shook to my core by my so called support system so I can't and won't trust them to be here for me, and support my decision. They will only tell me how stupid and dangerous this is, but to me it's stupid and dangerous not to have the surgery! Ok off my soap box Ps I have gone to my boss and nothing was done.
  3. Does any pre banisters get bullied at work for being over weight? I do and I can't wait for my surgery!
  4. I am trying really hard not to "sneak" a taquito I made for the kids! I bought water and I'm waiting for it to get cold so I can make my shake! I am going to try the pre op diet and add fruits and veggies because the nutritionalist said I need to do a 2k diet right now so my body doesn't go into starvation mode
  5. Seen the nutritionalist today and my weight went up 6lbs which takes me up to a BMI of 55 I need to lose 2-3lbs a week until surgery. I was told if my BMI is 50 or higher pre surgery then I will be on a 3 week pre op diet( 2 shakes and a sensible meal) and the post op diet is 4 weeks(1wk liquid 2wks mush and 1wk introducing solids) I asked how likely it is to get my surgery Sept 19 and was told that's a great date to shoot for! I'm very excited to start my journey and just wish it was September already! I need to work on eating slower and smaller bites still and I went and tried to get a food scale but they don't carry them so I will try a different place tomorrow! I already bought my gas x I am trying different Protein drinks now so I know what I like when it time to only being able to drink the Protein Drinks. How is everyone else doing today?!
  6. I can't wait until I am able to run with my kids an keep up with them! My daughter complains that all I want to do is sleep and read books it's true but it's not because I don't want to be active but it's very tiring carrying 360lbs around
  7. Pittsburger I sure hope the test shows it was nothing! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us all updated on what they find
  8. B-52 so glad to hear your great results I know I will also be a success story! Otherwise there would be point to all this!

I cant wait to get to September! I am looking so forward to getting healthy! I have several health issues and most will get better with weight loss Pseudo tumor cerebri with severe papilloedema High BP Anxiety Heart attack at age 31 Severe lower back and leg pain Depression Also when I did my required blood work they said I am pre diabetic I have to have this surgery! 10. On the iPhone app go to what subject you want to post under then at the tip of the page is an arrow with a box around it and go to new thread! There was other suggestions under "Linda's journey" thread also if you are on a computer. I hope this helps!
  11. Thank you for helping me figure out how to post my own threads! Now I can start asking my own questions or journal my own journey to my new life! Thanks again!
  12. Sorry to ask this question on this thread, BUT I cant figure out how to start a thread of my own! I am using the app for the iPhone. As you can see I can respond to threads, but for the life of me I can't figure it out! Please help! thank you!
  13. I've had other surgeries while on my period and the doctors and nurses could care less! I even had an angiogram where they go into the artery in your groin O.o I had on the "sexy" gauze "just had a baby" panties the hospital supplied and a pad and since they were in "that" area they cut the one side away and did their thing no embarrassment all the female nurses know what's up and the doctors have seen worse
  14. Oh boy so I typed Lap band surgery into YouTube and my stomach started hurting lol talk about power of suggestion! I think I will forgo watching any videos I can't wait until September!
