  6. I recently started really paying attention to the weight I have lost ( band in November 2012). I was in the store looking for protein mix and saw all of those products that are suppose to help you lose weight, I laughed so hard thinking back on how a few years ago, I would have tried some of them. I have lost around 60 pounds in total. I never want to be in that situation where you try and find the magic pill/power,etc. weight loss is hard for some but changing your lifestyle is the key and for people like me the band is just the tool I needed.
  7. That's Wonderful!
  8. OMG! I went from 42DD to 36C I don't mind my smaller breast but they look strange without a push up bra......
  9. I am really starting to love exercise, I am getting ready to do a 3 mile walk in a few

  12. Well congrats to those who don't have excess skin, cause I do especially my tummy, sometimes it really bothers me but I am definitely getting a tummy tuck this winter.....
  13. Thanks guys, I forgot to mention that my heart was also failing, I feel so blessed to have been able to turn it all around........
  14. I can't believe that a few years ago I couldn't see a future. I was very ill, hypertension,per-diabetic,bone issues and my back was hurting constantly. There was days when I couldn't get out of bed, my friends and family would visit me at my bedside. I would get pajamas for presents. I got fitted for orthopedic shoes and had braces on my legs and at one point I had to have cast on both legs. Things didn't look good cause after all this I was diagnosed with COPD, a chronic lung disease. I was in and out of hospitals on a monthly basis, then it happened, most of my illness was weight related at a weight of 283, I knew something had to happen. I got approved for WLS, the lap band,in Nov 2012, my life changed. I am 58 to 60 pounds down, I am exercising 4 to 5 times a week, I am 6 sizes down. I can walk, ride a bike, and play with my grandchild on the floor! I even do yoga! I am couple of years away for 50 and I feel great! I will be fabulous at fifty!!!!!! Attached are varies photos, 2009
  15. Nothing about menopause is fun....I have been having flashes since May 22, the day I turned 48. I have an attitude right now for nothing, emotions high and wanna cry!!!!! Daily all day I get hot for no damn teason
  16. I got the band in Nov 2012, 58 lbs down, a couple of days ago I felt as if I had pulled a back muscle, but lately it's severe muscle spasms. You think my band could've cause the pain?
  17. I am thankful for my band because I look and feel younger, my husband is 10 years older than me but I was the one looking and feeling older. The way he looks at me now makes me blush!
  18. Inspiring photos! I really want the Tummy Tuck but I am a little afraid my insurance won't cover the cost. What makes it medically necessary?
  19. Soda is the worst for me. Every once in a while I will try and take sip but the side effect are too great. I even tried adding cranberry juice to 7UP and ginger ale. The gas and bloating makes me feel horrible.
  20. I do wear compression garments it does help with the lose skin but I want the tummy tuck badly. Cause I want to feel comfortable when I take my clothes off. The blob ( my tummy skin) is too much and makes me feel like I didn't lose weight at all.
  21. I know it is really hard but if you change the chain of thought you will look back and laugh. I was almost 300 pounds size 22-24. I was banded in Nov and now I am a size 14! I don't care what everyone else eats I want the weight gone and I am losing it and its not coming back. The road looks long but you will love the end result.
  22. I had an experience where I didn't gain or lose for two months felt ashamed. I got back on track and lost 4 pounds in the last week. And a half. If we could do it on our own we wouldn't have gotten the band.....lol
  23. I am glad you posted the pics cause I am due to have a TT in oct and I am scared not of the surgery just the down time. How long we're you recovering from the TT?
