Sleeved 12/18 and down 85 pounds.Trying to get in more exercise daily....using an exercise bike 20-60 minutes 5 x a week. I don't think that is enough. . .
I think your doing great. I try to get 30 to 60 minutes in. You're doing better than me. Go job. Keep it up.

12/17/12. I have dropped 59 lbs. All the issues I have had are now resolved. I am still not eating a lot but I am getting all I need as far as Protein and such. I have also gotten into a workout schedule.
-
Warm clothes. I was freezing the whole time. My own Pillows and blanket. Extra warm socks.

Well I also am a 12/17. After my stent placement and having it for a few weeks, I get it taken out in a week. Everyday is a bit better but still tired. I have family issues going on right now but I see the light. I have lost 38 pounds and have stopped. But I know I will be able to lose more once the last surgery is done. Good luck everyone.

I went through and still am going through the same thing. It does get better. It is your hormones out of wack. Give it time. What seems to help me is to sit quietly by myself and just breath. Let my mind drift. If that didn't work I cried till I was dry and went on about my day. I feel for you. I hope you feel better soon.

Oh thank god. I'm not the only one. One minute I'm crying and the next I'm yelling at some kids mom for crying at the grocery store. My husband has been great through all of this. He has even learned to dodge at the right time. God love him. Just like everyone has told me, hang in there.

Good luck and speedy recovery.

I was done with dr. Scott in December. I love him. He was patient and answered my "dumb" questions. Even when he had to place my stent in on a very early Sunday morning. He was very positive and informative. I felt like someone actually cared what happened. I like the " my new self" doctors.

Clean the incision and then put some antibiotic ointment and a band aid. Then on Monday call the doctor.

I had pillows but I wish I had a thick warm blanket. And think warm socks.
-
Love that idea.

The first night or two I had the same problem. Use a smaller dose of pain meds and try to relax. Use a heating pad.

After surgery I felt okay. I know it takes time. I had a second surgery for a leak. Again it took a couple of days to get back to "normal". But, this last week my stent hurts, I'm always cold, and I'm really really tired. Is this normal? I don't have a fever and I can eat and drink. I just feel like poo.

I had a leak 3 weeks after surgery. They placed a stent in and I will have it for a week or two. I will have to have it removed endoscopicly. (sp) I'm in alot of pain but it is getting better.

I have had the same experience. Give it time. If you have pain call the doctor or its been longer than a week. It took me about a week to get going and even 5weeks out I'm not regular.

I had a leak too and spent a week in the hospital. Mine was not as bad as yours. I had a stent placed and went home later that week. I'm Hopi g to have it taken out in a week or two but I'm leaving it up to the surgeon.
The first few days I had a lot of muscle spasms around the stent but they have eased up. Now I just have a dull chest pain. Everyday it seems to get better. I just rest and do what I can and not worry about the rest.
I hope all goes better and you are in my prayers.

Surgery done on Dec 17. I'm down 33 lbs. I had a few problems in the beginning but I'm doing better now. Can't wait to get released to exercise.

With only being a month out and a few complications, I would have to say yes and no. I had a stent placed because I leaked. I was in ICU because of it. Now that it's over I feel better. I like that I'm down 33 pounds. I like that I'm "full" all the time. I like that I can get a lot of meals out of one meal from a restaurant. Not that I've tried because I'm on mushy foods. But I'm not feeding my face all the time like I use to.
Things were rough in the beginning, but I have a new outlook.
