I know exactly how you are feeling. I got my approval call on the second. Seriously I think I was more excited then if they told me I won the lottery. Thing are moving so fast after that. I am on day 2 of the liquid diet and go for surgery on May 24th. Congratulations! The days will fly by and it will be here before you know it. :-)

Day 2 of pre-op diet. I lost 4 lbs yesterday thank gosh. It is giving me the motivation to get through another day of all liquids. Good luck to all of you. We can do this!!! -
Hi everyone, I was wondering about medications post banding. I am on 10 pills a day and was told to take chewable Vitamins and larger pills would have to be crushed. A few of my pills are time released and unable to be crushed. What issues do you guys have, and how have you changed taking your meds? I am hoping not to have to stay on them much longer after surgery, but until then I need some pointers. Thanks!

Thanks guys for the responses. I love being able to come here morning, noon, and night when I am worried about something and get information from people that have had the lap band and their experience with the situations. -

I also start liquid diet on the 10th and surgery on the 24th. I have mixed feelings about the liquid diet. I want so bad to get it started because I know it is getting me closer to the date, but I'm afraid I am going to be a horror to be around. I have been warning everyone that anything I do or say during that time is not me. lol Good luck to you. I hope to stay in touch during our journey. -

I understand how you are feeling. My surgery is set for May 24th. I had to jump through all the insurance hoops the last 7 months so it feels like I have been waiting forever, yet now I am getting a little nervous, excited, anxious... so many emotions right now. Good luck with your journey. I hope to keep in touch since our surgeries are so close together. Maybe we can be band buddies.
