  1. I woke up this morning and I am experiencing a really sore port area (I think). It feels like a sting, a sharp hurting pain like a stabbing in and around where my port is. I do not have any protrusion from it and I don't remember hitting it, I don't think you can even see it, I can feel it though. I'm wondering if any banders have every experienced this kind of pain and what it could be from and should I be concerned? I have had "stings" or that's what I have called them from time to time for the last 3 months. I was banded 13 months ago and have lost my weight of 60+ lbs and now just wondering if this is because I'm at where I need to be or what? I'm in the green zone and don't over eat, exercise and feel wonderful just this hurting in my upper left side of my belly button below my rib cage. Help????

  2. I am a year out too and have only 1/2 cc in my band with no fills. I was filled in surgery with to much and twice had to have all but the 1/2 cc removed, a year ago at surgery my Dr. put initially 4 cc in band but did not tolerate. I go today for ck up. I have lost 69 pounds and at goal weight but sometimes not everyday I find myself hungry in between meals. I am scared to death of a fill because of experience after surgery in May 2013. I eat very clean very little carbs if any and lots of fish & chicken. I like reading posts about others experiences with their fills.

  3. I've been banded since 5/13. I've lost 55 lbs and love my band. I had a problem at first of band being to full. They removed from 4 cc down to 1/2 cc the 1st month and I've been fine up till now. I notice that I'm not really hungry but I can eat more than I was plus I am having severe I mean severe flatulence. I no that's probably TMI but has anyone had this problem? If you stay on low side of fills does it stretch out or what? If anyone ever experienced any of these problems please let's communicate. I go back first part of March and am so afraid of getting a fill due to the pain I was in with it initially. Thanks! !

  4. I have been banded since May 2013, done great lost almost 60# and am where I need to be. But this is embarrassing I have gas so so bad that it's getting to be where I so mot want to go out in public. I drink 2 Protein Shakes a day then have 1 serving of salmon or chicken with small serving of sweet potato and that's it period! I am eating gas x pills like candy. I am just wondering has any others noticed an explosion of flatulence after being banded for 5-6 months? Thanks!

  5. I used to like some sweets I was never a huge sweetaholic but did I ever like my carbs! Since being banded in May I have not eaten any sweets or carbs my taste buds have changed drastically!!! I do not crave any sweets, breads, chips, beef or any previously eaten foods that I used to devour. Good luck on your journey lets hope we all meet our goal!

  6. I just went to the Dr. on Mon. 8/19 and had the same issue. I have been banded since 5/29 and the "pinching" sensation just started about 2 weeks ago. What the PA explained to me is, my Dr. sewed the band to the muscle of my stomach so it would not float around. She said that from time to time we will get this pinched feeling but it will come and go due to our weight loss. Hope that helps. Good luck!

  7. I just went to my PCP yesterday 7/30 and I had to have mine lowered. I am 2 months post op and have lost over 30# now down to 168, woohoo! I am so happy! Not only did my synthroid have to be reduced but no cholesterol, no triglycerides and off of HBP meds too.
