  1. I don't think it's anyone's business if your banded or not. During my process at the presentation it was suggested you tell as little people as possible as everyone has a different opinion. You are the only one that can make the decision to be banded. Tell the people you want if you think they will be supportive, everyone else can mind their business. Just my opinion.

I've told just a select few folks in my inner circle who are very supportive and can understand the struggle.

  2. I am excited about all the support in this forum. I am a little disappointed with my weight loss since being banded on 2/11/13 and having my first fill last week - but reading all the info on this page and in the forum is encouraging, I will try different things. I am only going to get out of this what I put in. Ready set go!!! It's on!!

  3. Strange you mention IBS. I have developed that since I've gotten the band' date=' and it has been worse for the past year. I guess I am one of the fortunate ones, that if everything had gone correctly and my other dr's office would have listen to me and checked the band occasionally, it might have not come to the point where it now has to be removed. I really feel for those of you who are having so much difficulty as a result of the band. I love my band, but new doctor, gave me two options RNY or sleeve. I've elected RNY, I am afraid of the studies that will crop up as they see certain trends done on the sleeve and it's problems. Going to go with the tried and true even though it can have complications also.[/quote']

    What is RNY?
