Tummy Tuck Before & After Pics
Thanks for posting these...as humiliating as it was for you, it is beneficial for so many other people and I applaud your bravery. Your tummy is already awesome! I hope you post more as you progress. I saw an awesome belly tat I said I'd get if I had to have a tummy tuck, totally covers the scar and is really pretty. I don't have any tatoos now, so for me to even think about it is funny.

Courtesy Goes a Looooong Way!
My counselor with True Results called last night to schedule my pre-op and surgery appointments, only to find out that I had to have the procedure done at a different facility...i.e. - more waiting for red tape to clear - argh! Anyway, I decided to call the surgeons office and attempt to schedule it on my own. I had the displeasure of speaking with one of the snappiest, rude and unhelpful person ever. I pride myself on being kind and courteous - especially if I don't know you and for this witch to handle me the way she did just a moment ago has me thinking about a different surgeon. I haven't been scheduled yet, I haven't signed anything so I don't HAVE to go through them if I choose not to. If this is the way you treat your patients before you even meet them, I shudder to think how our relationship might be going forward. It's Friday, I will sleep on this and make a final decision on Monday. I'm sorry, but if someone was about to add $16,000 - $20,000 in revenue to my organization, I'd kiss every inch of their ass. Just my take.

Pre-Op Appointment - What should I Expect?
My pre-op appointment will likely be next week and I was wondering what should I expect? I've done several tests already - blood work, EKG, respiratory fitness test and psych evaluation. What should I expect to happen at my pre-op appointment? I am being banded in Houston by Dr. Reilly and would like to hear specificially from any of his patience - but look forward to all replies!

What to expect for psy evaluation
The psych evaluation is easy breezy. Just a questionnaire with 344 redundant questions, a chit chat with the psychologist and you're on your way. They billed my insurance $1085.00 - I think I'm in the wrong business...she racked up that day, there were 5 other people there for the same reason. If she has that volume every day, my God...I need to change careers.

Looking for a Houston, texas group
Is there a reason why you can't have your surgery in Houston? Your friend isn't a real friend, by the way.

Looking for a Houston, texas group
That's awesome! How was it? When did you get to meet him for the first time? Did you go through True Results? My insurance approved me on Monday, but I don't know how long it will take for TR to get it and schedule the surgery. How long was that process for you? I was hoping to have it done next Friday - the 17th...is that realistic??? I'm glad we have connected - with our surgeries so close together, we can be great support for each other! Gwen

Funny article - even in the middle ages, cats loved to interfere with their human's work!

Getting frustrated!
You never know why you are experiencing delays, if you are spiritual, you need to consider your timing is not God's timing. If you had the surgery on the original date, you could have gotten into a car accident on the way or gotten a defective band. You just never know, but you have to trust it and just go along with the process as it comes. I was overly anxious, but the truth of the matter is you need time to go through all of the emotions associated with this life changing procedure. Trust me...there are psychological phases you will go through and I believe they are a necessary part of the process. I haven't had much time to adapt - my initial consult was on April 11, 2013 and I'm scheduled for May 17 or 24th. I wanted it done quickly, but just a few days ago I started a new phase "am I doing the right thing?" Today - I believe so!

Sugery May 24th & second guessing myself
I did...sometimes still do. My friends, coworkers and loved ones say the same thing to me - I don't need the surgery. Well folks, I'm fat on the inside and now I have diabetes. It's not about vanity, it's about living a better quality of life.

Governor Christie of NJ
I like Governor Christy...you'd never catch Rick "Pretty Ricky" Perry making such a personal confession. I'm voting for him if he runs for President. I'm in Houston...being banded through True Results this month.

Approved in Days! BCBS Rocks!
No, no waiting. I can schedule as soon as they get the letter, which was mailed today. My very very first appointment was April 11, 2013.

Approved in Days! BCBS Rocks!
Just called BCBS to get the status of my surgery claim and it has been approved! This is mind blowing, I started the process on April 11, 2013 - expected this to be a 3-6 month process, easy. BCBS received my paperwork from True Results on Friday and had an answer for me today - Monday! Considering business hours, I really don't think it took them 24 hours for an answer. It just got real.

Second Thoughts
Wow...I love and appreciate your response! This is what I needed to hear and something I can reflect on if/when the time comes that I have these thoughts again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
