It's kinda under my ribs on the left abt 4inches down....I guess I just assumed my band was there...I'm gonna call my dr and see what they think

I had a small unfill about two weeks ago, and I have 5.3 in my 10cc band. I was having reflux at night and everything was getting stuck. That is better now but For the past 4 days after I eat a small meal I have a pain on my lower left side where my actual band would be located. It last for about a hour and then goes away. It doesn't happen when I eat something very small like a protien bar, but if I eat a small salad it does. I'm worried that it could be a slip but I don't know what that feels like or am I just over eating ?? I know I need to talk to my Dr. I just wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

You know I did get something stuck last night ! That's could be what's causing it

What in the world is up with these deep painful hiccups ? It's not when I'm eating or drinking, just random. I get them at least twice a week and never did prior to surgery. My surgery was 9/13 so 6 months out now.

I've been having very similar issues but not that drastic...my last fill was abt a month and a half ago and the last two weeks I have felt like my band got tighter...as you said I didn't think that was possible I just thought it would get looser over time...hence needing another fill. Since feeling tighter I cannot get all my water or protein in a day..some days are better than others...I have a Dr appt on Monday so I will see what my Dr thinks...most deff will not get anymore put in !

Glad to know I'm not the only one ! I used to drink my protein shake in the morning...but it's thick and cold and will not go down ! My coffee doesn't even go down some mornings. I found that drinking my water room temperature works best for me.

Today has been totally different ! Ive been able to eat and drink...so i don't think I need an unfill...if it would have continued I would have went to the office this afternoon ! It has never happened before...I'm just thankful to be over it...it was scary

I didn't think abt the swelling...my fingers do swell a lot depending on my sodium intake....I usually can't eat a good portion until late afternoon...I've tried to use coffee and a heating pad to loosen me up in the mornings but that hasn't seemed to work much...but I'm ok with my shake and then yogurt in the mornings and if I get hungry I snack on some nuts....but I got worried because water just felt like it wasn't going down...I felt like I had a bubble in my throat....I'm going to try watching my sodium intake and see if that helps me with my swelling ! Thanks

Im curious if anyone has ever had a bad day like I did yesterday ! From morning until night I couldnt eat or drink anything...I mean my protein shake wouldn't even go down....water got stuck ! I'm usually tight in the mornings and by lunch things move better. My last fill was the end of January and I have abt 5.5ccs in my band now. I have never had a day like this before. I was beginning to get scared. Today has been much better...I can drink and it goes down....I ate some yogurt and that was fine as well. I'm so thankful for a better day. I will be doing full liquids for the next few days just to let things settle down from my bad day.....any thoughts or experiences like this ??

Patiently waiting to get my 2nd fill, I have not really felt a difference with my first fill that I got Nov 7th. I only have 2ccs in my band right now, and feeling very discouraged and afraid of losing all my progress I've made. I feel like I haven't even had surgery at all, with the exception of some mornings when I can feel that my band is tighter. I'm trying to keep pushing through and exercising and using portion control. I have to wait until Dec 19th to get my second fill. My dr office makes u wait 6wks from surgery to have the first fill and then another 6wks to have your second and then you can have one every 2 - 3 wks. On a brighter note my nurse who had the surgery said she lost the most weight after her second fill. So I'm still hopeful, the holidays are making it hard no doubt.

I just got my first fill Thursday...only 2ccs and I felt a little sore where my band is the next day..but No pinching

I was on liquids....strained Soup..jello...broth...Popsicles....then the third week added grits..mashed potatoes

Quick question...was is the plication ? I've heard people mention it but I'm clueless :-)

Whoop whoop ! This time last month we were gassy and swollen and sip sip sippin....now I'm just starving and waiting on my first fill !!! Happy Band Day Anniversary

Tell me more !!! So they are pills ? And sounds like they taste bad ! I need a boost on my Protein and sounds like these are perfect !

That's normal...your stomach is still swollen from your surgery...I didn't care if I ate or drink...but it's important to constantly sip so you don't get dehydrated ! Happy healing :-)

I strained it and got most of the egg out but there's no way to fully get it to just broth...it was delicious..that and won ton soup....it got me through :-)

I refused to weigh myself after surgery !! I let the Dr office do it on my follow up appt. I still lost...but I was swollen and bloated still..u may just be retaining fluid...my hunger has returned however now that I'm eating pureed food it fills me up and I'm ok for a few hours...my main thing was to try and keep busy so I didn't focus on being hungry and that helped...hope it gets better for you ! I'm ready for my first fill but I have to wait till 11/7 (6wks) grr

Can't fix what ain't broken I've always had a healthy appetite and have been hard to keep up with...and after surgery for about a week I didn't even think about it but it didn't take to long for Ms Lilly to wake up !!! HELLO

Thanks ! And I guess so...it's gonna be a cold Winter...glad I brought my heating pad to work...I have my feet stuck in it now lol
