Getting back on the Band wagon

I'm sorry to hear that. Why did you have to get the unfill, and what were you eating? Whatever the case, you will be fine. Like Suebee said, you've done it before, and you'll do it again. Just get back up, don't stay down, and just remeber where you were when you started and how you felt about yourself. That should motivate you to never want to be that person again. Good luck, and all is well. God bless.
  3. Thank you Carolina, and congratulations.

    Any bandings in April???

Hello April Banders! My Band date is the 23rd, which will be in one more day. I am soooo excited, anxious, and worried. I wish all you April bandsters good luck, and success with your bands and new life! God bless you all.
  6. Thank you Lori. I just don't want to set myself up for failure, but like you said, it takes time to change bad habits. As they say, "Rome wasn't built in one night." I also belive the statistics that 90% cheat. How do they expect a food addict to go from eating McDonalds one day, to just drinking Protein shakes as a meal. It is really tough, and takes a lot of discipline. Like B-52 said, you wouldn't need the lap band if you could do it on your own. I was really hard on myself at first, but I understand that I have a problem, and this is what I am doing to get help. It's a process, and I have to be honest with myself, and work hard to change, and get the results I want in the end. Thank you for all the support. This has really helped encourage me, and restore my hope.
  7. Thanks you guy's, all of your responses have been motivation for me to keep going. Your stories of success are inspiring, and I I am looking forward to being a success story as well. Thank you for the support!

THIS is why I LOVE my band!!

    You look great!
  9. Hi Suzanne, Thank you for saying that. I have noticed some people say their doctor put them on the pre-op and they were allowed one small meal a day. I am so confused as to why my doctor has us on liquids only? Thanks for the info, this has restored my hope!
  10. They never really went into detail on the purpose of the diet. I thought it was just to help start the weight loss process, and to get me prepared to a new way of eating. My pre-op visit is tomorrow, I've actually been doing pretty well besides today and the salad yesterday, and I've been working out everyday. My surgery is not scheduled until Tuesday. So, I still have time to get back on the horse and finish strong. Wish me luck, and thank for the replies.

    Third day of preop diet

If you get hungry like that, you should be able to have a low sodium broth like chicken or beef broth. You can also have sugar free popsicles like fudge bars. At least I was told by my surgeon it was ok. Just think of the long term outcome you will gain by sticking to it. A healthier, happier, newer you!

I was put on a 2 week liquid diet? You only had to do the liquid diet for 3 days?

I'm scheduled for April 23rd also. I am soooo anxious and excited! Have you started your liquid diet yet? If so, how's it going. I must admit, I am struggling a bit.
