I am also having my Lapband Surgery tomorrow 5-14-13!! I am also excited and don't think I am going to be able to sleep tonight. I hope that you have a fast recovery and enjoy the begining of your new life cause I know that I am!! NEGU (Never Ever Give Up)

Ok, the thing is that leaks are caused by improper needles used to fill your band or faulty ports or tubing. If that ER doctor didn't use a CURVED needle (Beveled Needle is the common name) then more than likely he did cause it. When you fill or unfill your port a special needle is needed to be used and you should look at it. If the needle does not have a curve in it then DO NOT let that doctor touch your port at all. I hope that your friend does better.

Palms of Pasadena is who has the contest every year and they give away 2 Lapbands.

Just wanted to give everyone an update on how it is going. I will being having my Lapband Orientation this Wednesday, April 24, 2013.....There they will set my Lapband Surgery date. I am so excited and can't wait to have this life changing surgery. I have been wanting to change my life for so many years and now finally have the hope to change my life and live a healthy life.

**On a personal note I want to thank Alex (Founder of this site)*** without his permission to post my link I would not have had so many of you vote for me and would not have the wonderful support system that I have now. Thank you Alex, you have saved my life!!!

Regardless of what does happen I have chatted with lots of good new friends that can support me in a postive way in order to lose weight and keep it off forever. I am so happy for you. You are so blessed and are about to start the next step on your Weight Loss Journey. I myself have not been banded YET I am trying to win a contest where if I get the most votes or 2nd most votes then I win a FREE lapband!! I would do anything to be in your shoes, because I know the feeling you must have right now. It is a life saving surgery and you will literally get your life back. I think that they should call it the LIFE BAND instead of Lapband cause it gives you back your life!!!

You can only vote 1 time from each computer, phone, tablet, I-pad, etc....The vote sre tracked by IP addresses and since each item has a different Ip address that is how the votes are counted.

So if you are going to work tomorrow you can vote from that computer; or if you have multiple phones in your house you can votes 1 times from each of the phones.

If you work where there are a lot of computers, then give the website to everyone you work with, or just take over their computer for a few minutes....hold it hostage...lol

I continue to appreciate everything that everyone is doing and for the votes and kind words of encouragement. My weight Loss journey has not been an easy road and in fact has been like a roller-coaster up down up down up up down down.....If I win the Lapband I know that it is not a majic pill that will fix everything. It is a tool that I know I will use to help me finally take over my obesity and help me conquer my obesity. The Lapband is a tool that will help me EARN my life back.

I know I keep saying this but THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!! I have met and talked with wonderful people and if nothing else cmes from this contest, I have made some amazing friends!!!

What a soul searching question, Why am I fat? I could come up with many excuses but then I still know the truth.

I am fat because in my life I have not made good choices for myself. As a mother I put my husband and children before my needs. Which means that I have neglected myself. But I am not blaming them at all because my obesity is my fault. I have so much knowledge that I freely share with people such as recipes where you use applesauce instead of oil, or splenda instead of sugar, or how to Fake Fry chicken without grease. When I really think of it, the bottom line is that I am fat because of my choices.

I have not been banded yet (though I am trying to get banded). I am ready mentally, physically and emotinal for my weight loss journey to start. All of the diets, shakes, pills, or drops have always resulted in the same manner. I lose weight then gain it back. It is a yo-yo cycle of emotional let down from success and then failure. I have made a choice that is for me now. I have admitted that I have a problem. I am morbidly obese, not healthy, and being held back from living my life with my children and husband. I am ready to stop being on the sidelines and watching my life pass by me. I am ready to take charge of my life and my fat.

I maybe fat for many reasons. But I will conquer my obesity. As long as I keep trying I will never fail. I will NEGU (Never Ever Give Up)
