  1. It sounds to me like you need a fill. Definitely go see your doctor once he/she is back in the office. I went today for my first fill and my Dr told me that if I start to feel hungry again within 2 weeks to come back for another fill.
  2. WOW!!!! Awesome job!!!!!!!! yay!!!!!
  3. I just had my very first fill. I was so nervous, but I didn't feel a thing, so it was a lot of anxiety but that's because I didn't know what to expect. He gave me 4cc's. After he gave me the fill he had me drink some water and I didn't feel anything, which he told me was good. It's been about an hour and I actually feel a little tightness so that is good that I can feel it. I wasn't filled at all from the surgery. He told me to have liquids for the rest of the day and tomorrow mushy foods and then slowly try the solids again. So that's my plan! I'm just glad to have the first one behind me so I know what to expect!
  4. It's so surreal, isn't it?! I feel it too when I press lightly on where it is...sometimes it freaks me out!!!!
  5. Ha!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!
  6. Same here! I go on Wed and I am hoping for a fill...will see but I'm definitely hungrier than I was! Ugh. Hang in there!
  7. If you feel this is the best thing for YOU, then you are making the right decision. My mom wasn't thrilled with the idea at first, but then she completely came around. Sometimes we need to put ourselves first and do what we think is right for ourselves. They might just come around and be supportive. I would just tell them that this is what you believe is truly the best for you and ask for their support regardless. That's what real friends would do!
  8. how many calories are you eating and are you exercising?
  9. Amazing!! way to go!!!!
  10. Best of luck! You sound like you are definitely all set and ready!!!!
  11. I'm going next Wednesday to see my surgeon and will get my first fill. I'm nervous but I'm sure it will be fine! just that first-time anxiety!!! I'm starting to get hungry here and there so the timing will be good. I don't get startving but I notice that about 20 minutes before lunch/dinner I'll get a little hungry. I was banded on 4/29 and I've lost 33 pounds to date. I think the fill will be very helpful to keep me on track here and is definitely coming at a good time!!!
  12. Up to you and you alone. I know it's hard when family gets their opinions involved, but what do YOU want?
  13. That's great, I love it!
  14. It is definitely tough- but I felt better after the 3rd day, it started to be easier on me. The sugar free popsicles were a big help. I found ones that were only 10 calories and they helped me a lot make it through! Keeping busy helps as well....I went to bed early every night too, and that also helped me!
  15. Yes, water, hot tea and sugar free popsicles.
  16. You look amazing!!! what a difference!!! You are a true inspiration
  17. The emotions you are having are completely normal, especially 2 weeks out of surgery. I'll be 3 weeks out on Monday and believe me there are ups and downs and emotions running wild! What you are feeling is so normal. You are still healing from the surgery and when I tell you it gets better, even just being 1 week ahead of you I mean it. I'm eating a lot more now than I was and trying out different foods. There are a lot of healthy recipes online that you can search for, in particular fried rice that you might want to make yourself when you can and try how you like it. You went through the surgery for a reason and remember that. Don't get down on yourself and definitely see your therapist to talk things out. We're all here for you.
  18. Definitely takes some time but once you really start to heal you will start feeling like doing more. Walks helped me and getting some fresh air
  19. scrambled egg is what I had and it was the whole egg. Good protein and mushy enough for me to get down.
  20. That is pretty much too what I ate the yogurt, eggs, fat free milk during my second week.
  21. I had coffee yesterday for 1st time since being banded on apr 29th and it was nice! I didn't have any issues. I'll enjoy another cup this morning!!
  22. Keep walking and you will get rid of sone of the gas. Also try some "smooth move" tea its organic and helps to move you along which will let some of the gas out. It helped me.
  23. So far for breakfast I've had Kashi Creamy Ceral (9 grams protein) with fruit mixed in and that has been a good one to hold me for a while.
