So today is my first week after op. So far, I'm feeling better, but first week was rough!

I still really nauseous (this is the worst part for me, more than the Gas pain), and I had a couple of episodes that I thought I was going to throw up, but it was a HUGE burp, and it hurt a little. Mostly now, I'm feeling really weak, and I don't want to eat anything, literally. I never thought I would say this but I'm not really interested in food at all now! (so weird). I tried to get a couple of shakes, but after a few sips I was so nauseous that It's super hard for me eat something more solid than Water. I'm having a greek yogurt now, and so far is working it's way, but I still feel super weak. I know it's because I haven't get any foods or Proteins, but I really feel kinda down right now and I don't want to eat :(

14 pounds down in a week.

any ideas to get some energy back? this is my problem now, I'm at work and it's so hard not to think I just want to sleep.

Wowwww! 14lbs in 1 week! Amazing! I'm 11days post op & I've lost 8lbs thus far. I know how u feel. Im scared to eat. I'm still not getn 60-65gm of Protein a day. I'm on puree/soft foods. Some days I'd rather not have anything & just sleep. I'm hoping it gets better. I'm tired A LOT & I know its from lack of Protein. Yesterday I tried Jamba juice for the 1st time. They have fruit smoothies with whey protein. Needless to say I didn't finish a 16oz til today. We have to take this one day at a time & try not to over think it.

Have u tried walking or light house work like washing dishes or a load of laundry. Washing dishes has helped me. I turn on the music & I forget I have a lapband, I'm in my zone. Lol. Good luck!

Definitely takes some time but once you really start to heal you will start feeling like doing more. Walks helped me and getting some fresh air

Hello ladies, yes...my hubby makes me walk around the neighborhood every night. It helps, but since I'm back to work and on my desk all day, I'm really unmotivated without energy. I feels so sloooooooooow. Hopefully I will get better during the weekend. Today was a better day though, the best on so far :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
