  1. I have been on the same medicines for two years nothing has changed.... Well except for my anxiety meds... They switched me from cymbalta to Zoloft but that was more that a month ago.... If it continues I am definitely going to call the dr.... I just had an unfill about three weeks ago and we are really trying to get to my proper amount of fluid that needs to be in my band.... Once I am there I think I will be so much happier and better!!!!
  2. Thank you.... I just get so nervous because I don't want to mess this up
  3. So last night out of nowhere this heartburn hit me..... And then tonight again out of nowhere heartburn.... I have an appointment with my surgeon on Thursday but I am really nervous.... Could this be a possible slip?!?!
  4. Thank you everyone!!!! I went to the dr and he removed some of the fluid..... I feel the difference now.... Dr Neff is an amazing surgeon!!!!
  5. So I have been doing really great with my band since I had my surgery in November, but the past couple days it felt like I had no restriction and then all of a sudden EVERYTHING has been getting stuck.... Last night the vomiting was so forceful that i have blotches on my face and nearly almost broke blood vessels in my eyes.... I need to know if this is normal or if I should see a doctor?!?! My first and only adjustment was in January so it's not tight!!!
  6. I was banded two weeks before turkey day and I was cleared for stage 2 (mushy foods) about 2-3 days before and I enjoyed a smidgen of everything it took me like an hour because I sat there and cheer everything until it was mush!!!!! If you look up Emily bites she has some really great food ideas on there and they are portioned smaller for people on weight watchers or those who had Bariatric surgery..... I hope this helps!!!! Good luck with your journey!!!! :-D
  7. Thank you so much!!!! I do feel great!!!! I have my moments but then I look at the before photo and think I have come this far I am not stopping now!!!
  8. Thank you so much!!!! It has been an interesting road finding foods that work and don't work and then having to go back to stage 1 a few times because even yogurt would get stuck!!!! But honestly after YEARS of battling with my weight the band is the best thing that has ever happened to me(besides my husband)!!!!
  9. This is a collage of before and now images!!!!
  10. It definitely will, I used to be huge on monster energy drinks and nos energy drinks like 4-6 20oz cans a day, it was my quick energy when i didn't feel like making coffee(due to being over weight and LAZY)!!!! I cut them out about 2 months before my surgery and lost about 13-15 lbs before the surgery.... I drink coffee still but I use Splenda and skim milk or non dairy creamer(plain)!
  11. Congrats!!!! I love hearing and seeing the success stories of other lap band patients.... I wish you a lot of luck in your continued journey to reaching your goal!!!!
  12. I have not touched soda since the surgery but coffee.... I am a huge coffee drinker!!!! I love my French vanilla creamer by international delight.... And the good news is they make the sugar free!!!!!
  13. Thank you!!!! I do when I get the chance.... I work full time and go to school full time to be a professional photographer so I get exercise when I'm taking pictures and when I am doing school work I put weights on my ankles and do leg lifts!!!! The big loss does help a lot with the motivation because I want to get to my goal of 160- at most 165..... And I have a LONG way to go!!!! My total weight loss will be 190 lbs when I hit my final goal.... But for right now I make small goals of 25 lbs!!!!
  14. My meals are spread out to about every 3 to 4 hours
  15. Thanks everyone!!!! I really look forward to this forum because it is so hard to get to the classes with my schedule.... Protein is the biggest factor in my diet, I usually have a protein smoothie with bananas and strawberries for breakfast then for lunch a Dannon's lite and fit Greek yogurt(cherry because its the only 1 I like) and a sugar free pudding or applesauce, as a mid day snack I will have a protein bar with a SF pudding or applesauce, and for dinner either chicken, pork chops, or turkey burger(plain) with string beans and mashed taters, for desert it is usually fruit with SF or fat free cool whip.... I try to keep a water jug with me at all times!!!!
  16. Congrats!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!
  17. I had my surgery on 11/12/12 and so far I am down 65 lbs.... The first 20 lbs fell off in the first week and a half!!! I am really loving the results so far, I have gotten to a plateau because I have dropped so much so quickly that I don't want to lose too fast and have hanging skin.... I just found this page and I am going to enjoy talking to everyone here and hearing and sharing stories!!!
