  1. Hi ladies anyone can set them up I think @fashionstylist setup the first one. I think due to the holidays everyone got a little busy. But I think the 1st of the year would be a great time for us all to get together. I'm located in the Champions areas and would love to meeting you all. I've been banded since 5/3/13 down 47lbs. It took me a couple of months to get to my sweet spot but i'm glad i'm finally there ;-)

  2. Congrats I'm at 6.4cc and I've been in my green zone for about a month. I still have some challenges get all my Protein and Water in because I'm not really hungry until around 1 or 2pm and in the mornings I'm tight. All and all I thinking I'm doing great. I'm 219 as of now onederland is approaching. Hopefully I will be there b4 Christmas. I hope everyone is doing great. Happy losing.

  3. Yea we will plan something fun for November... It will be so cool to meet everyone else.

I'm so sorry I missed everyone. I honestly forgot. :-(. I was thinking with the holidays approaching I need to set some goals for myself. I'm not sure how I will feel emotionally with not being able to eat like I used to. A goal will help me stay focus. What do y'all think?

  4. Hey ladies I hope all is well. I'm doing well not much weight loss but I know i'm losing inches especially in stomach (not complaining about that at all) :D . On 7/23 I got a fill(#3) which brought me up to 6.8cc and i'm finally starting to feel the restriction. I've gotten stuck A LOT at-least once a day but that's just a reminder to me to take smaller bites, slow down and chew. I'm going back on the 6th i'm going to ask for .2cc and I think I should be good for a while with that. Workouts have been good 1-2hrs session but I only go on Saturdays and Sundays the workout is murder on my hair. I'm getting braids next week so I don't have an excuse anymore ;). Also after this last fill I noticed that i'm really tight when my cycle starts so going forward I will do liquids and really soft foods during the 1st couple of days. And it looks like i'm tight in the AM also I get hungry around 10-10:30. I'm excited b/c I think I might be departing the band-er hell phase...lol I'm praying that the pounds start falling out. And i'm praying for all of you stay encouraged and focus. ~Cia~

  5. I'm at the same place I'm just trying to maintain my lost until my 2nd fill 7/2. Right now I can eat just about anything but no more than 2 cups. I also get hungry every 4 hours and when that 4th hour comes I turn into the hulk if I don't get food. I know I'm eating more than I should I just make sure I workout so I won't gain. Just be patient when we get to the right restriction we will be on our way.

  6. Hi ladies hope all is well. I've been doing ok. I had my 1st fill on 6/2 not much restriction and only a 4lb loss since then. I'm hoping my next fill 7/2 will put me in my sweet spot. One think I know I'm defiantly losing inches. I hit the gym atleast 3 times a week. I would love to meet with everyone. I've found that support by those that understand your journey is vital.

  7. To slimchia

Describe the stuck' date=' how will I know when I have one? Will or are you able to vomit it up?[/quote']

You will know right away it feels like something's lodged in throat/chest. Almost like intense heart burn or gas. One day I tried a Hard boiled egg and didnt chew the egg white well... Smh but I'm in the learning process and learning that I have to chew but it's a little hard for me I have braces :-(

  8. Yes, The reason is if I have it here in Houston I would have to pay $5000 up front with my insurance but Dr Hollis partner in Dallas is only charging me $1360 out of pocket. A lot of Hollis patients are making that drive to Dallas to save that money. I will do the surgery there but Hollis will be doing my follow up care, fills and everything else. about the friend...yes I know and I have not heard from her since. Not to say did you find someone else or nothing. I have to shake my head at that and keep it moving. I dont need anyone like that in my circle.

I agree I'm glad that she revealed herself early she probably would not have been very supportive. Close that door and move on.

  9. That's awesome! How was it? When did you get to meet him for the first time? Did you go through True Results? My insurance approved me on Monday, but I don't know how long it will take for TR to get it and schedule the surgery. How long was that process for you? I was hoping to have it done next Friday - the 17th...is that realistic???

I'm glad we have connected - with our surgeries so close together, we can be great support for each other!

    Gwen

Everything went well the entire process went so smoothly I just knew that this was meant for me. I had my 1st consult with TR on 3/1 which they said that my insurance would pay (not the approval) but I had to do a Psy eval and after that they would send to insurance to approve. Went for Psy eval the next week and the insurance approved within 3-5 days and at that point I had to wait for them to send my info over to Dr. Reillys office 2-3days. Then (Gwen) at Dr. R office called and scheduled my surgery date advised to start preop diet and scheduled my preop appt with Dr. R which was on a Tuesday and I had my surgery the following Friday. Dr.R is really nice and will answer any question you might have. If TR told you were "approved" I will call them and see if they have sent your info over to Dr. R. The earliest I think they will be able to do the surgery would be the 5/24 because they want you to do the 2 week preop diet unless they said you don't have to.

Also I wanted to let you know that he did my incision very nicely they are all right under my breast bone. By the grace of God I had little to no pain after surgery and as of now i'm 12lbs down. I've had some gas but none really anymore. I'm able to drink normally and i've had no nausea.

  10. It is definitely crazy how different pre/post op diets can be. Refried Beans were good, I won't lie. Hopefully your two weeks fly by!

I would love to have refried beans right now! Liquids only for 2 weeks for me. I think it's crazy how post op plans can be so different. I'm glad to hear you are doing well. I'm definitely feeling better today then I have been.

I'm like you cda97 but Friday I can start full liquids and I can't wait. I'm not really hungry but just tired of juice and broth.< /p>
