I believe that maybe my problem guyaMontag. My liquid intake. Most days I'm getting nowhere near 64oz of water. Ill have about half that. My schedule. .. Breakfast @1030a, lunch @ 2p. Dinner @6-8 times for dinner varies. An maybe a snack about 9ish...

I had my 1st fill this past Monday & I have no restriction. Im able to eat like b4 the band. Jus a slight problems with breads. I try to talk myself into feeling full or not needing more food to be satisfied. But I can definitely eat & like u said it's not lasting 4hrs+. Idk what to do cuz I don't want to gain any weight back. Think I need a 2nd fill. I have 3.5cc in now.

Thoughts of fear - how did you talk yourself out of them?

I was nervous until the iv was in my arm & I was on the OR Table. I talked myself in & out many times. But the icing on the cake... I didn't wanna die fat, I didn't wanna be a fat bride or get pregnant & be fat. I was teased all my childhood about my weight & when I watched shows like the biggest loser or saw a story on a 600lb man trapped in his home & they had to cut him out... I knew ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH I had to lose weight. I was finally ready for my success story. -
Ive had my 1st fill. I'm a little over 2 weeks post op. I was told by the nurse that STRESS, TOM & other things can cause ur band to be tight. Since yesterday I've been OVERLY STRESSED & I don't feel restriction but my post site hurts. & everytime something stresses me it hurts more. I get sharp stabbing pains on my port side & non port side. I usually eat when I'm stressed but of course I can't do that. Any suggestions? I need help now .

CONGRATS!!!! Welcome to the banded side. You'll do great!

I disagree big time. My surgeon requires a 2 or 3 week liquid pre op diet. I did a 3 week one and lost 23lbs in 3weeks! From tuesday that I started to that Friday (3days later) I lost 9lbs.

They told me by this time next Monday if I don't have restriction to call the office & they'll have me come back for an adjustment

Today I'm two weeks post op & I had my 1st post op appt & 1st fill. I must admit I was nervous. But my surgeons & his staff are GREAT! I received a shot of a local anesthesia & was given 3.5cc in my band. I was able to get all the barium liquid down with out a problem. I'm really hoping to have a good amount of restriction after this but I know that maybe asking much from my 1st fill. I'm just excited now & feel like a real BANDER now since my first fill cherry has been popped lol. The only thing I seem to keep feeling like I'm going to burp. And its a 50/50 chance that I actually burp. Other then that, so far so good.... I started this process from a three week pre op liquid diet on 4/16. I'm happy to say I've lost 32lbs since then for a total of 63lbs GONE & NEVER COMING BACK since Oct!!!! What should I expect now???

ERIC I'M SOOOOO PROUD OF U! YOU'VE BEEN DOING GREAT! !!!!!! -
Wowwww! 14lbs in 1 week! Amazing! I'm 11days post op & I've lost 8lbs thus far. I know how u feel. Im scared to eat. I'm still not getn 60-65gm of Protein a day. I'm on puree/soft foods. Some days I'd rather not have anything & just sleep. I'm hoping it gets better. I'm tired A LOT & I know its from lack of protein. Yesterday I tried Jamba juice for the 1st time. They have fruit smoothies with whey protein. Needless to say I didn't finish a 16oz til today. We have to take this one day at a time & try not to over think it. Have u tried walking or light house work like washing dishes or a load of laundry. Washing dishes has helped me. I turn on the music & I forget I have a lapband, I'm in my zone. Lol. Good luck!

I honestly never thought to ask if I had anything in my band at the time our surgery I just assumed I didn't & wouldn't get a fill til 4-6 wks out. Now I'm two days away an jus as nervous as the wknd b4 surgery ...

I was banded yesterday may 6th. I set up my post op appt in 2 weeks (may 20th) they also said I would have my 1st fill then... is 2 weeks post op normal for a first fill? I'm still in pain now...
-
Definitely glad ur doing much better!

The pre op for me was hell. I had 3weeks of liquids. But was able to eat egg whites & 4oz of boneless skinless chicken breast 1/2the time. I lost 23lbs in 3weeks. That was great but the hunger headaches were unbearable. By day 5 it started getting better. Sugar free popsicles, sf jello & crystal light saved my life. U can do it!

I pureed most things. Mac&cheese, sweet potatoes & red beans&rice. Only with the mac did I have to ADD anything (1/2c of hot milk) everything else blended down fine on its own. I believe ppl are blending the refried beans.
