    Surgery and divorce

Even though I had my surgery two years ago, I have found that now that I am going through my divorce, I feel a lot freer than I did before. I am better able to concentrate on me and my health a lot better than I did before because I was always stressing out about something and when I stress, I eat. Good luck with your journey.

I use laxatives all the time. As a matter of fact, I took two last night. Feeling constipated.

How much weight did u lose b4 .....

I too am a teacher; however, my mother has clothes in her closet in all different sizes so I was fortunate to be able to wear some of her clothing for a little while. I did by me a couple of pants on sale mostly at Sears and Walmart because well I'm cheap. LOL Now, I have purchased a couple outfits a regular price now that I'm 69 pounds lighter. I still have at least 12 pounds to reach my goal.
  5. I am thankful because I am down from a size 22 to a 12. The compliments are amazing and I feel a lot better.
  6. I am 12 pounds to my goal and have been having the toughest time getting there. I had some issues with my stoma over my band so my nurse practioner unfilled me. That resulted in me gaining 10 pounds so I'm finally back where I was 8 months ago. I was filled on this past Thursday and I'm hoping that when I go back for my monthly at the end of this month I will be closer to my goal. I have noticed that I'm eating a lot less. Finally!

So that's what feeling restriction is!

@triggergramma It has been over two years since my surgery and I still forget to chew as I should. When you lose the weight, you definitely have more room to eat bigger portions of food, but when you get that fill, OMG, you remember very quickly to chew, chew, chew. Yes, make sure you continue to eat smaller portions. I had my band filled last week and I am finally feeling the same restriction that you are talking about. I was like you too, several months of not losing but I have finally lost the two to three pounds in just a few days that I was trying to lose for several months. I would suggest not having the solution taken out unless you are throwing up or you can't eat at least 1/2 cup of food. If you are eating a 1/2 cup just fine, then you are on the right track.

So that's what feeling restriction is!

@Doingitwithlap, I had my surgery over 2 years ago and at times, yes, I feel that little lump. It is your port and it is very normal to feel it. Nothing to worry about. Just don't do any sit-ups or other strenuous activity for the next month or so. Good luck on your journey.
