Keep up the great work!
-
I have to agree with both posters. Twenty minutes is the time frame to stop eating and you should always eat your protein first, then veggies and if there is room which for me and many others if you're at the proper restriction you can't eat another thing. It is possible in the beginning to slowly eat all day but that's not what you want to do. Your meal should be no more than 4 oz total and that's it. 1/2 to a cup of food. If you're eating more than that at one sitting then that's too much. Good luck

I'm on my cell so I can't see your statistical information but in short, you don't prepare for a fill unless your doctor gave you specific instructions to fast before coming in. If you had to go to the er, chances are you were too tight. You may want to suggest small quantities of fluid. Best wishes and good luck

Glad to hear that sis.

Sweetie, you are where you're supposed to be. You can't compare yourself to others otherwise it will make you feel like a failure. You have made remarkable progress and all I can say is keep up the good work.

No restriction all of a sudden...!
Lady VS replied to mummakeyz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just because you are not feeling the restriction you once had doesn't mean your band has slipped. It simply means you have probably lost more weight or inches and maybe in need of another fill. There is nothing to worry about. Just keep watching your portions and keep on losing. Continued success. -
4 weeks post op, not getting full
Lady VS replied to Darlyn Dwan Rottkamp DeVoe's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
9 lbs in 4 weeks is great. It is going to take a few adjustments before you receive satiety. As tmf said, welcome to bandster hell. Hang in there. -
Is it possible your pregnant?

There are many links on here that you can search. I'm sure that's why not many people posted. But here are a few Scrambled eggs, oatmeal, mashed potatoes, tilapia, etcetera

Do u know what made it slip?
-
Wow! Your story is my story and the answer is YES!!! I'm at 7.1 and have been since August of last year. Don't need another fill or unfill. I'm right where I need to be Green!!!! Best wishes

Hello fellow banders. As most of you know I reached my goal in July 2013 and surpassed it by December. I actually went down to 140 lbs in the spring and then have been fluctuating between 142-146 ever since. Finally last month I don't know maybe this new job I've started, I noticed my eating habits have changed. I'm not very hungry at all which is a good thing. I have a Protein shake and coffee for Breakfast, and then I don't eat any food until between 12:30 and 2 pm. Yeah, all day no food just about. When I do eat, it's just a little as we are supposed to eat and that's it. I may snack on something in the evening around 6:30 or 7 but I can't eat later than that. My body has changed to if I do, I start coughing in the middle of the night and will cough up Water that sometimes come out of my nose. Not sure why that is. Anyway, my weight went back down to 141 last month and then last week I lost another pound and hit 140 again. Couldn't believe it. Didn't think I would see that again. Well yesterday I got on the scale and it was 139.2. OMG!!!! Me 139 pounds!!!!! Are you kidding??? This scale can't be right. So I go to work. Weighed myself before bed and yes it said 139.2. I don't even recall when or if I ever weighed 139 pounds but today when I weighed, it's at 138.8. Yep, that's right. I'm officially 138 pounds. I can't believe it. I'm literally in shock guys. I even said in another post a while back that my doctor's goal for me was to be 134 pounds and I thought he was crazy. Well I don't think he is crazy anymore because I'm almost there. Again, I'M IN SHOCK!!!!! So what's the point. NEWBIES AND OTHERS, THE BAND WORKS IF YOU WORK WITH IT, PERIOD!!!!!!!! And that's by following the rules. You may venture off a little but you can ALWAYS get back on track. I LOVE MY BAND. I'm so excited yet I'm feeling a little numb because I'm not doing anything in particular to lose weight and all of a sudden my body is losing again which is good. I guess I need to lose some more and didn't realize it and I'm okay with that. I just had to share guys. Continued success to each of you.

Thanks for replying B52. I recall reading your story last year and I couldn't fathom how it was possible. I didn't question you because I believed it to be YOUR STORY. Now hear I am over a year or so later and I understand. I'm just not that hungry anymore and my doctor said when you're not hungry don't eat so I don't. Simple :-)

Am I the only revision...No Pre-Op Diet
Lady VS replied to A. Stoot's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Yes, it is hard but think of the benefits in the long run. Best wishes -
My skin and hair are just fine. Never no problems. I take my vitamins every day plus the protein shakes I drink are full of vitamins and minerals. I use muscle milk for building muscles. I'm a meat eater so I'm definitely getting my protein. I eat veggies but not everyday. That is an area that needs work and I get my fruit in via juice mostly orange again not everyday. Thank u for the compliment.

What a bunch of oddball NSVs today
Lady VS replied to gowalking's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
What an awesome testament to the band doing its job. Kudos! -
Congratulations on being banded. I'm just curious to know why are you eating solid food at only 4 days post op? You should still be on liquids for like two weeks. Then mushies for a week or two and then solid foods. You are still in the healing process and should not be placing that kind of pressure to your insides so soon.

4 years post op questions
Lady VS replied to karnott57's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Sounds like you need a small unfill. As tmf said, you should be able to eat regular food and without it coming back up. If that is happening then you're too tight. You need to make an appointment to see your doctor. Congratulations on 4 years of banded life by the way. -
Random restriction...temperamental band!
Lady VS replied to coachshalyn's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yes ma'am, all the time. It's actually great to do just liquids from time to time. Keeps everything in order.
