Well good luck!

I second that emotion. You should not be vomiting after eating. Something is not right.

The place that I feel full has changed....after almost 2 years!
Lady VS replied to hokiemama's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
That's weird. I have never heard of this before. I have always felt full/satisfied etc. in my abdominal area. If you are feeling full further up, it sounds to me as though your food isn't going down as it should. Do you think your band is too tight thus preventing your food to go down properly? -
Drinking by meals ? Solid Versus Liquid -- Satiety Study in Well-Adjusted Lap-Band Patients
Lady VS replied to Alex Brecher's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too was told not to drink with my meals but found that if I didn't, my food wasn't passing through within the alotted minute and therefore when I chewed for a minute or longer as instructed, my food was feeling stuck. So I chose to start sipping water and found that worked. Sometimes some meats like chicken depending on how it's cooked or beef meat, I may have to take larger amounts of water to help flush it down. I have not noticed that I'm fuller with or without drinking water with my meals. -

I actually can't wear my rings anymore. They're too big. Lol -
I was banded over two years ago and I occasionally have pain around my port. The doc said it's because it's attached to my muscle. So sometimes eating or certain activities will cause some discomfort. If it's for a little while I wouldn't worry but if it's ongoing, I would tell my doctor.

Don't feel bad. I stayed hungry too. The difference for me was my doc office gave me a fill each time I went especially if I was eating too much. I love that about them. Just try to add jello, eggs, yogurt, etc to your diet. It does get better. Good luck!

Did anyone have a problem with pop/soda?
Lady VS replied to leannel90's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
My doc said no soda so I don't drink it. I finally had one this past Friday because one of my parents at work made lunch for us and brought sodas. So I didn't want to be rude and not drink one. I had a 7 up. It was really good. I had forgotten what carbonated drinks taste like. -
Temperature Control Issues
Lady VS replied to shazini's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Most definitely. I have the heater on now and sleep with my comforter and two blankets. LOL -
Yes I have gone through this problem about 3 times in the last two years. I gained weight because I could eat what I had been missing because of the unfill. But when I got filled again I relost and then had to get unfilled again and gained again. Like Mis73 said, you don't have to gain if you stick to your diet regime. I gained because I didn't. Big difference. It's all up to you. Good luck.

Thanks guys for your responses.

My home activity varies depending on the amount of errands I have so I'm pretty busy. On days like today I'm not busy but relaxing and I'm just not hungry. Weird!
-
I'm not nervous about anything since I've been doing what I do for the past 9 years. I guess I'm more bored with what I'm doing than anything. My fill level is awesome and I drink so much water that the restroom and I are best friends. LOL

Same here. What a difference change makes in one's life. Be blessed my sister.

Sorry I meant I was 225 on my surgery date. LOL My bad. I'm typing faster than I'm thinking.

This is a very interesting topic. I am actually the opposite of all of you. I am tight in the morning; however, I still eat a small breakfast because by mid morning, I will be starving. I eat my lunch and am hungry around dinner time. I eat between 5 and 6 p.m. and after that, I am not hungry anymore. Weird. Everybody's bodies are different.

Hi Kara, I was banded in December 2010 and I weighed 231 pre-op and on the day of surgery I was 255 because they had me on a special diet for 8 days prior to the surgery. Today, I weighed on my digital scale and it said 158.8. Yes, I have had a couple problems along the way. One, I was too tight and food got stuck so they had to unliquify me so that made me gain weight because I could eat a lot more than I should. They slowly added fluid and again I allowed them to put too much and we found that my stoma was slumping over my band. So more fluid had to be taken out once again. Then I began to eat a lot again as I absolutely LOVE food. Once my band and stoma were back the way they are supposed to be, I had to make up my mind to get back in the habit of eating well and finally 8 months later, I have finally lost what I gained and then some. It all begins with you. Good luck!
