I wanted to get back to what I was in high school which I fluctuated between 150 and 155 pounds. I'm proud to say that as of today. I'M THERE!!!!! (154 pounds woohoo!!!) But my complete goal is 150 which is overweight for my height but I don't care because of my body structure I'm still healthy. I never thought I would get this small again after having my children, being stressed out, and just living this thing called life. I am very happy with my weight loss. I was 231 before surgery and on the day of my surgery 12/17/10, I was 225. My journey has been hard as I can't e/ercise like I'd like too because of my arthritis. But anyway, that's how I set my goal because I loved the way I looked when I was in high school over 20+ years ago.

I know this subject has been discussed before because I posted in it. However, the more weight I'm losing the colder I am. I can't stand the AC but we have to have it on so it won't be so hot. When watching TV I am completely wrapped in a blanket in order to stay warm. I sleep in flannel PJ's with a thick blanket and comforter. Do any of you know why our bodies change like that? Will it ever stop meaning will I stay cold all the time?

Thanks guys for your responses. @Mis73 I totally feel you.

No I haven't. I will mention it to my doc. Thanks.

It depends on my body. EVERYDAY is totally different for me. Some days I can eat all day long. Other days like yesterday I only ate two meals which were a shrimp salad for lunch and chicken salad for dinner and I felt quite full. It was only a cup of lettuce both times with about three oz of meat and shredded cheese and a slice of tomato. But tomorrow I may awake starving like I haven't eaten in days. Weird!!!!

I drink but not like I used too. My band simply will not allow me too. I love margaritas and rum. I never over indulge because I'm not trying to throw up. I now drink one glass of wine every other day or so. No hard liquor. Thank you lapband. It was a habit that needed to be kicked.

That is great news. Congratulations to you. -
Yes, I actually posted this same info last month. I have days when food is like blah!!!! Then I have days like this whole entire month that I eat like it's going out of style. Lol I haven't gained any weight but I haven't lost any either and I go to the doc next week. I can't wait because I know I need my band tightened.

Not taking medicine everyday, buying a size 12 rather than a 22, how people look at me differently, wearing heels again.

Wow!!! That's awesome. Keep up the good work. -
Yes ma'am every time. That means the band is working.

I made it to the green zone in my first year. I lost more weight during my first year than my second.

I have a 10 cc band as well and I'm at 7.3 ccs. I am not at my sweet spot yet but I'm almost there. Be patient, keep following your doctor's orders and you will be fine. Good luck.

I'm sorry that you are having this problem with your band. Maybe you should try sticking to liquids like protein shakes and soups. Hopefully that will help you to have the energy you need to keep functioning. Remember to just sip and not gulp and that should help with the burping. Good luck.

Did anyone here divulge at work that they had a lap band?
Lady VS replied to teeney66's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I told my boss first because he needed to know why I was going to the doctor every month. Then as time went on and my weight loss was noticeable after a year of my surgery, I began telling people who inquired. If they didn't ask, I didn't tell. -
Wow! I hate to hear that but am glad you were able to have another surgery to fix the problem. Just remember all that you have learned and you will be fine. Take it easy and follow your doctor's orders. Good luck.

Lady VS replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Having my wls was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I would do it again, again, and again if I had too. I love the smaller me. I'm more healthy and I look good. -
