  1. I went in thinking I'd be banded for life. That was my plan. However, I have been nauseated and vomiting off and on throughout the year which has made my band slip. Even though I have no saline for the past 8 months, I'm still nauseous. I'm not as big as I was when I was first banded. I don't have acid reflux, my esophagus is fine, however, last year, it was slightly swollen. I am currently prepping my body for this revision surgery I'm having next week. 2. Did your band doc unfill you? If you have a pouch on top of the pouch, it does sound like your food is settling in because you're too tight. I know after 5 years postop, my band decided to tighten up on its own. If you didn't get it adjusted, maybe it's time you do. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

Day 8: I called the doctor's office and spoke with the nurse. She said she wasn't sure what I could do and was sorry I was sick. She also said she would speak with the doctor and give me a call back. Mondays are his surgery days so I'm sure she wasn't able to tell him. Hopefully I will hear back tomorrow. I had full solid foods today, so I will slowly take away a meal and incorporate it with liquids so that by the time Thursday gets here, I can hopefully be on full liquids without being nauseous. 🤞🏽 Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Support at Home

My family is 100% behind me as usual. They know I'm going to do whatever I want, when I want so they have learned that I don't care what they say or think. Therefore, when I tell them what I'm going to do, they accept it and keep me in prayer. This time around, they see the problems I have been having, so they can't help but be supportive. O think they are more excited for me having the surgery than I am because they see the discomfort I am going through. 🤢 (nausea) Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Third Revision...

No judgment sweetie. The OP asked if we had heard of the situation and I was like huh???? No, I haven't. It never occurred to me that some individuals would need a third revision. I'm just shocked that's all. Praying all will go well. [emoji1488][emoji1488][emoji1488] Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

    PreOP Diet

Day 6: Good morning all. I woke up again feeling that migraine trying to take over, so I decided I'm going to give my body a little break today. I know it is in shock from going from eating all that wonderful unhealthy and healthy foods to absolutely no food at all. That is A LOT to go through especially when you are sick already and have to take medication on the regular. I'm glad I decided to start two weeks out rather than wait until Thursday this upcoming week per my doctor's orders, because now I know what my body can and cannot handle. So on Monday, I will definitely have a conversation with him to find out what can I do about this, if anything at all. I may just have to suffer through the headache, but Lord knows I'm not ready for that. So today, I have started off with my coffee as usual, a scrambled egg with a teaspoon of grape jelly and a cup of orange juice. I have to say I haven't felt this satieated with my band completely empty EVER!!!!!! I actually LOVE this feeling. Sometime between now and noon, I am going to eat a banana. I have to get my extra potassium in as I definitely take my multivitamins everyday. I am going to do liquids for lunch and for supper, I think I may have some boiled shrimp and a little lettuce and tomato salad. I have drank some detox tea for the past couple of days to help with this process, and I finally excreted this morning. It wasn't as much as I hoped for, but something is better than nothing. I do think I'm going to have to take a laxative as I know there's more that needs to come out. I know this maybe a little TMI, but I have to share the whole journey and not part because I want others to know you're not alone in this journey. So I do hope I'm encouraging someone out there. Nervous about revision

Well I'm glad to hear that. [emoji846][emoji1490][emoji1490][emoji1490] Awesome decision on making that sleeved stomach work. As I was reading your response, it made me think about my own journey. We are our own health problems. When I first got my band, I was soooo excited and happy. I made sure I did EVERYTHING right. However, it kept slipping throughout the years because of MY BAD CHEWING HABITS. Meaning, I would sometimes forget to chew my food to mush and then would have to drink a lot of water to either help the food go down, or throw it back up. That has been my main problem. Then, I became lackadaisical about 4 years after having my band. While I continued to keep my weight down, it slowly began to increase because I was including foods that I know weren't good for me. Then my arthritis started getting worse even though I was at the smallest I had been since junior high school. After being put on meds to help control the pain, unfortunately, my weight gain continued to slowly increase, but it wasn't until this year (which is 8 yrs. postop), that I have gained the most of my weight. I gained 18 pounds in just two months because I was bedridden. Not able to move around like you used to really does make a difference. I was hospitalized back in February of this year, and the doctor opened my band because it had slipped yet again. So, suffice it to say, yes, we cause our own problems a lot of the time. Continued success on your journey. [emoji846] Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

    PreOP Diet

Day 4: I had to eat a little on yesterday. I had a little cheese and turkey jerky for a snack. For lunch, I ate a small salad with grilled chicken chunks. The rest of the day was liquids. Day 5: I'm drinking more liquids but I have eaten a few cheese squares and a piece of turkey jerky only because I have felt a migraine coming on and needed to take my medication. I definitely don't want my stomach upset. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Rny revision

Nothing. You are at the stall phase. If you recall the first time around, your body went through it. That's quite a bit of weight at one time and your body has to adjust. Keep following your doctor's orders. That is HUGE!!!!!! You have lost 63 pounds in two weeks and you're discouraged?????[emoji44][emoji848] Don't you think you should be celebrating the victory?????[emoji323][emoji322] Congratulations and keep going. You can do this. [emoji846][emoji1474] Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
