Could be in the same spot on your abdominal wall but seemed to move since you lost weight and your skin has taken up the slack a bit. I would ask the Dr. for sure though. Just to make it clear that there is no problem. Congratulations on your progress!

Great color saturation! Looks really good! I almost got a tattoo a few weeks ago and had just seen that movie "That's My Boy" where one of the characters had a New Kids on the Block tattoo and after losing all his excess weight they all had Beavis and Butthead shapes heads... So I decided to wait till I get to goal weight... Lol

You guys will do awesome! I went today an am not it much pain or nausea. They even said I had a small hernia and stitched it up. I think tomorrow is going to be different though. The anesthesia had me a little disoriented even a few hours after getting home. OH, yeah....my stomach is completely orange...lol I look like an oompaloompa!! Good luck tomorrow, don't freak out too much, you will do great and everything will be ok.

I also had a friend that his wife had gotten the band lost a substantial amount of weight and ended up in divorce. She just seemed to think that her new body needed a new life as well. I am lucky as my wife has been banded for a year and I just had the surgery today. We have been married for 14 years and have a strong relationship. By getting banded I think I just made sure I will live as long as her...lol

Well, I am officially a club member!! Surgery went great, got pics... Lol Had a small hernia and got a few stitches. Feeling good, had a bit of morphine when I woke up in recovery. Nausea meds working, gas-x is too, but just have discomfort in my collar bone areas. I lost 13lbs on my pre-op diet and start the count at 256lbs! I hope to be off my metformin, blood pressure and cholesterol meds soon.

Appointment was at 9:15am, got prepped and wheeled to the OR at just after 11. Everything went blank, anesthesia hit me good... Lol. Got to recovery, and had a bit of pain. So, i was given a little morphine. Did barium swallow and got dressed. Drank some water and took gas-x. They told me that I had a small hernia. I even got a picture of my hernia and band! Walked around a bit. They walked me to the car and the wife took me to Target to get my prescriptions. I already wanted to walk, so I walked into the Target and sat in the little restaurant area while she gathered everything. Felt good to walk. My discomfort from the gas is mainly in my collar bone areas. Kinda weird, feels like I was picked up by them... Haha Not really nauseous, drinking water and mint tea. Ate a bit of jello.

I have scheduled to have tomorrow Wednesday (surgery day) to Monday off from work. I work as a mechanic and can avoid lifting anything more than 20lbs pretty easily and will be walking up and down stairs and through the workplace regularly. For this activity level, do you think this is enough days off? How many days did it take you to feel strong enough to return to work?

Blood sugar levels are under control, discontinued metformin last night. Just a shower and hour away!!

Thanks for your quick responses. I just don't know what to expect since I have never had an abdominal surgery.
