  1. How did you know John likes peanut butter better than beef. OOPS!!!!! You were talking about dogs. Ummm,... there is a difference? LOL!!! He knows I love him.
  2. Michelle: Not sure about the partying hard in Vegas excuse. I was tame actually. I could have stretched it when I was in the pool but I kinda doubt it. Do you guys remember when I had this weird redness and tenderness around my port incision? Well guess what it is back. Look at this pic. I am so glad I am seeing Billy tomorrow maybe he can figure it out. Now the site is HOT and even more tender to the touch. SIGH!! So Now what?????
  3. How about OUTKAST, LIL Kim, Queen Latifah, Kid Rock, QUEEN, Etc. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!! Don't forget SALIVA. Yes that is a group. My 17 yr old son listens to them. OH yeah and LINKIN PARK too. SIGH!! So I have my plane tickets for arriving on Friday and I expect to be picked up at the airport by the Limo and shuttled to the Ritz hotel for the master suite. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Thanks for the compliment. LOL!!
  5. OK, after I got back from Vegas I noticed that my port was tender and sore the next day. I just attributed it to all the activity over the weekend. But when I can't even roll over in bed without it hurting or a shirt brushes against it and it HURTS like a mo fo then it is time to see a doc. So I called Dr. Billy's office and asked them if I needed to come in or if this was something I should not be too concerned about. They just called me back and said to come in and see them tomorrow at 1p. So off to Billy I go. They were saying something about it could be an infection going on. SIGH!!! When will this ever end???????????? Lisa, when I am there tomorrow I am gonna talk to him about YOU and YOUR WOUND. I am taking a picture of your wound with me so he can see what is going on. I am also gonna ask him about how much he would charge as well. SO NO EXCUSES NOW!!!
  6. Great idea about posting the procedure. Just clarify if he used fluoro or not for the newbies.
  7. I will as soon as it comes through. NOTHING YET!!
  8. Lisa: I understand everyting hurting syndrome. I walked alot yesterday but this morning I just couldnt' get my butt outta bed. So no execise for me today. I hope to get on the recumbent bike later this evening for at least 30 min. Will keep you guys posted.
  9. Lisa: I am going to call Dr. Billy's office to set up an appointment for you. The money is not an issue at this point. So stop letting that stop you from getting it taken care of or I will come there and kick your ass. Get down here and I will drive you to his office. I will call you later tonight to discuss the details. Or call me at home NOW!
  10. WHEN??? I am so there. Carol get the margarita's ready again.

  13. Isn't he just the cutest? I love my guy.
  14. Hey Cort: Glad to have you on board. Welcome to the rest of your life. I too had high blood pressure along with high cholesterol, back pain, knee pain, etc. Since losing 48 lbs I have gotten my blood pressure under control and off medications, my cholesterol was 130 just two days ago and off medications, my knees and back no longer hurt. I have LOADS of energy. I can get down on the floor now without being embarrased or hurt myself. But better yet I can get up off the floor by myself without a crane. LOL!! Welcome and don't be shy.
  15. Just an FYI: IF you chose the midband then make sure you have a doctor set up in your immediate area that you can go to for emergencies. Some surgeons won't take care of patients that have gone to Mexico much less someone with a midband. The LAPBAND is more widely accepted for state surgeons to accept patients. I am not saying one is better over the other. I just think you should be aware that some docs won't accept midband patients cause they are not used to that band as much as the lapband. I don't know that the statement "The American band is very ridgid and more people have complications with it." is truly accurate. The research on the Lapband is still ongoing and some of the doctors don't report good results much less ANY results with the lapband patients. So to broadly say more complications is not true. I think with each band there are complications. There are pros and cons with each band. Just do your research and chose which one is best for you. They are equally succesful in aiding in the weight loss battle. Just my opinions.
  16. What it's over? NO NO NO!!! AGAIN!! Do it again!!
  17. What it's over? NO NO NO!!! AGAIN!! Do it again!!
  18. OH Pooh on Lisa -- it's a freaking challenge. She won the last one so who cares. LOL!!! I walked yesterday morning for about 30 min I walked this morning for about 50 min and that was 2.4 miles. Would have walked more but the rain started.
  19. Lisa: I have an email out to Dr. Billy about your case. I know you said you can't afford him but I am working on that as well. So, as soon as I know something I will let you know. You should consider him for the port replacement.

Lisa I love them all. I used one and have saved the rest for changing it up when I get bored. LOL!! They are all cute.
  21. AND FUN to see the outcome. I have never been to Mardi Gras. Sounds like a blast. Gotta go look at the calendar. I love the avatar pic Becky shrunk for me. Gonna go change it now.
  22. Hey You know I love a challenge. I walk at least 2.5 miles every day so yeah I am in. Where's Delarla??
  23. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS Michelle for following through with your plans. HUGE CONGRATS!!! I know how hard it can be to just take that step sometimes. It is like we want to do something and it sounds like it will be a blast but then we talk ourselves into not doing it for all kinds of reasons. Then we regret not following through. I do that all the time. I think it stems back to when my self worth was so low and thought I was NOT WORTHY of having a good time. Since I have lost this weight I have changed. I still fight with that inner voice sometimes but for the most part I WIN now. SO HUGE CONGRATS again Michelle. I just love ya big time. OH YEAH I agree with everyone you have killer eyes.
  24. anita: OH I wish I had known sooner you were getting banded tomorrow I would have driven to the hospital and been there with you. I am in the Los Angeles area. Like Michelle said give us a call anytime.
  25. I have found that post band drinking is a shock. I can get happy on two sometimes only one drink. Depends on how strong it is made. And yes you do have to be more careful when drinking cause as we all know it can impair your judgement at times and you could do damage to your band. My rule of thumb is when drinking while being banded is to drink one drink then have a glass of Water. Helps flush out the liquor and keeps you from getting dehydrated and avoids a hangover the next day. If I eat while drinking I only put enough food on the small plate and eat from that plate only. I don't ask for seconds at all. I munch on little things that go down easy. If I slip and eat something I know I shouldn't then I just stop drinking till it passes. The whole thing to drinking and being banded is the empty calorie issue and potentially doing damage to your band. Keep those two things in mind and enjoy the libation. LOL!!! __________________
