  1. I love this group it helps me so much! As far as exercising. Right not I am out of commission hopefully in a week or two I can get into the pool. I hurt my ankle bad hurt. But I think the doc is going to let me swim again. It's less impact. But I have been doing better lost 2 lbs because I am really ignoring the "it's ok" brain talk. I posted something else on this site about Breakfast and go some great ideas. So now I can start my day off on the right foot :)

  2. This has been the hardest thing to do I was banded April 5 of this year. At first before surgery with the preop diet I lost 20lbs then after the surgery in the beginning i lost another 20. So that leaves me with two months of not weight loss. My dr is aggressive tightening it for me. (Thank god he's not one to drag the tightening out) but it seams I still am having issues making the right decisions on food choices. I haven't lost any weight in almost 2 months. I started my journey swearing off all bad for you foods. Then i get in to is ok tomorrow will be better. I am now a wine drinker (bad girl) I have only a half if cup or so every night. Then that leads to the snacking at night boo.

I really thought it would be easier. Then I think maybe it needs to be tighter. But I know in my heart it doesn't. I have issues with chicken for gods sake. And one kind of fish. I really had no idea. But I did know I just chose to think it would be a piece of cake. Then now I sprained my ankle. A bad one my take 3 months to heal. I swear what do I do? Sorry for venting. I needed to talk to someone who is doing this too. :(

  3. So today was my first fill. I can't believe when I got on their scale 5 weeks after surgery I have lost 22 lbs from the beginning of my preop diet started:) yay.

Back to the fill it was the weirdest feeling ever!! No pain and he walked me thru the whole thing. Then he had me drink barium and took an X-ray. When I drank the stuff it was the worse he showed it going thru perfectly but I felt like it was stuck. So he took some out and I instantly felt better. He only took half a Cc out. I feel more like a bandster now that I it my first fill yay:)

  4. My belief is I work out to "Burn Fat"...which is stored energy I have put away for that time of famine....

So I do not believe in eating before working out otherwise I would burn what I ate' date=' not what I have stored away...

But, you can't work out without energy and a little metabolism boost....

    I run 5 miles 5 times a day, before 6am....plus weights 2-3 days.

Also, I have to avoid eating after I workout no matter how my body is screaming for it.....I always have a "Revovery" shake afterward....[/quote']

Omg who has time to so this? Not trying to be rude but....... Do you work? Do you have children a family? I couldn't imaging 5 mile 5x a day. He'll my job takes 9 hrs away then dinner for my family another 1 hr maybe 1 1/2 then it's hubby time. Then it's shower and bed around 1030. To be up at 530 and start all again!!

  5. Really great advice thank you guys. I know it's time for healing. I'm ok with not loosing I just want to do everything right!!! I am a perfectionist when it comes to things I want so bad. Today I had grits for Breakfast wow I love it!!!! My diet for the first week after surgery was Clear Liquids only. So no Protein Shakes. I was just so worried I was taking in to much juice :) I thank everyone for the encouraging comments
