  1. I'm the same. Don't feel full and I feel as if I could drink a lot more even. I do get in about 72 ounces a day. I follow the plan and eat every 3-4 hours. Even if I am hungry I make myself wait to eat and drink extra Water to help. I was even told to go up in my puréed stage to 1 cup of Soup, chili, etc. still not full, but satisfied.

I was told some people are just like this and they said during different stages it may change. I am on soft foods and still never feel full.

I guess some of us are just "lucky" not to have issues eating. We are then cured to dealing with hunger I guess.

  2. This made me laugh because I too ate one slice tonight. I am on soft foods for anther week but had no issues with it.

I was beating myself up about it but thought if this is my only "junk" food I will allow this one time and i still get all my Water and Protein in then I'm ok with it. My calories were 100 for the day more than my goal but I met all the rest of my goals even with the slice.

I do not plan on having it again for a long time -I worked too darn hard to go back. I am planning on doubling my time at the gym tomorrow. I made a bad choice but it was so freaking good.

    Just my 2 cents.

  3. My doctors will not let me use anything but condoms and the depo shot because the hormone levels change so much after they are afraid I will get pregnant. So we are acting like teenagers and using condoms lol.

They have had some patients get pregnant too soon off of hormone bc treatments and ban us now. I know they are on the conservative end of a lot of other things too.

  4. I am 5ft 2 and day of surgery was 284. Today I am 18 days post op and only down 11 pounds. Everyone is different I was told. My doctor also told me not to weigh myself too often. He said once a week. He explained Water weight, and just different times of day can be a 3-4 pound difference and will make me go insane. He knows me VERY well :)

I eat shake for Breakfast 20 Protein, 1/2 cup Soup for lunch 3 Protein, shake for snack 20 protein, 1 cup Soup for dinner 10 protein, and 1/2 shake before bed so 10 more protein. I was told to eat eat every 3-4 hours and when feel hibgry between meals just drink more Water it should pass. 99.9% of the time it does. If it doesn't I grab 1/2 a pudding of more soup.

I take some Vitamins each time I eat-never all at once. It helps your body absorb them better and wont leave you feeling sick.

In between each meal I drink water and get 70-80 oz in daily. I get at least 63 protein in daily. I today was told I can started puréed foods and have added in refried Beans and a little cheese. So freaking good and has 9 protein in it too.

My doctor and nutritionist have been a blessing. They keep in touch and at every appointment go over my food journals as well as my Vitamin sheet to make sure I am getting everything I need. They also do blood work every 2-6 weeks to make sure I am right on par and if I am lacking something they can add it in. I am very lucky to have them :) being a nurse I know a lot already but these people put me to shame.

My best advice is do not eat the next stage early unless your doctor gives the ok and just try not to watch the scale too closely. You have plenty of time to lose the weight and like a pot boiling watching it makes it 10 times worse.

  5. I had the dermabond and was itching like crazy. They told me to try a cold washcloth and place it over incisions. Worked pretty good. Then when I saw it was coming off I started peeling as much as I could off with out it hurting. I am a little over 2 weeks out and almost all of it is gone now and no itching at all. Thank god!

  6. It is crazy how different every doctor is. Mine said start full liquids after surgery then change every 2 weeks. So liquids 2 weeks, puréed 2 weeks, soft 2 weeks then regular. I asked why so different and he said it is a personal preference of the doctor. My doctor said he likes to be conservative about it because some patients cheat and others will simply need more time to heal. So it is just easier to make all his patients use the same rules in case you fall in those categories. He said at the very least you usually lose more doing it that way too since you are not eating as much in these different stages and it seems to jump start your metabolism before you start your regular foods.

  7. I have been a insulin diabetic since I was 8. I am 35 now. I am only 2 week post op but I too seem to lose slower than others. I was always told insulin will slow your system but this is not to say the weight won't come off. They warned me I might be 6 mn behind my goal and others with similar stats but it will come off. I will just need to work out a little more than the others to raise my metabolism and watch my carb intake. It sounds like you are doing well just need to keep moving and give it time :)

  8. I am a post op of 8 days and feel like I'm eating too much but I'm hungry at meal/snack times. I know I am eating fast but try to slow that down. I am finishing a meal in 15 min instead of the 30 :(

Here is a average day for me:

    Breakfast 8 oz shake

    snack 8 oz shake

    lunch 8 oz Soup

    Snack 4 ounce Jello

dinner 6 oz soup and 4 ounce pudding

I do feel full after I eat but I honestly never get sick of eating/drinking. I could drink all day long with no issues. Getting all my Protein and fluids in is never a issue.

I talked to my nutritionist who just told me to do what I am till I see the doctor next week. I am scared I am going to stretch my pouch out but feel great so maybe it is ok.

Everyone seems to be eating so much less than me on here and I am thinking I am pigging out :(

  9. Well I took the shower. I wish I did it earlier. Not inky did it make me feel so much better but it relaxed me. I have not been sleeping too much and this will do the trick I'm sure.

I was worried about being constipated but sounds like most of us just don't go for a while. Maybe by then I will be able to bend/squat with no pain. :)

This surgery has been easy I only used the pain pump in the hospital a few times while taking walks. Now that I'm home never has to even touch anything.

So far I am only eating 4 small meals a day but got in my Water and Protein goals. All food looks good but I am not touching anything I am not supposed to. My hubby was eating hamburger and it smelled so good. Does the craving thing usually go away?

  10. Ok I hate to ask this but I can't be the only one who is having problems. I was sleeved Thursday and at home now. My issue is when I go number two how the heck do I reach to wipe? My incisions kill every time I even get close to bending in the correct direction. Thank goodness I am not really going 2 yet. I seem to be peeing every 10 minutes too. Anyone else having these issues?

Also I want to take a real shower. How the heck do u do that? I have been using the wash wipes instead of a full shower but want to wash my hair but am scared about the Water hurting the Incisions and hurting.
