Hey everyone! Just wondering... Do y'all ever go on liquids and if so for what reasons?
I had my lap band surgery April 2013.. Been experiencing some heartburn and was thinking maybe I should go on warm liquids for a few days. I had some allergy issues and probably irritated my band.
Just wondering what do y'all do when heartburn has kicked in and if y'all go on liquids for any other reasons

Thanks everyone! I actually made some hot tea and after one sip whatever was there passed and felt instant relief... I am now terrified of chicken lol

I am sure this question has been asked a million times but I cant seem to find it on here. I had a stuck episode with a bite of chicken and it came up but now I keep PB and slimming with nothing coming up. I also have a lot of discomfort in my chest. I am not sure what to do. Any advice would be great. Should I go to the ER?

I had my surgery April 26th and had the hernia repair as well... I had the same burning happen then almost a wk after surgery I woke up and it was gone... Just hang I there... It will get better

I was band April 26th and had my first fill 1 week ago. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's what it means "bandster hell" when I just got a fill a wk ago and it doesn't feel tight or restriction... food goes down waay to easy and it scares me. I've been working out and since surgery I've lost 20 lbs but have only lost 2 lbs in the past 3 weeks. Is this normal? Cause I keep beating myself up thinking I'm not doing enough which is going by the rules

Def. check with your Dr. I was released to lift weights 3 weeks post-op. Good luck

Thanks so much for the responses... Figured I would ask since my follow up is still a week away.

Ive done the 24 day challenge before (before lap band) and its great but the Vitamins you need to take with the kit are pretty big... And there are a lot of them you have to take through out the day... I would think twice

During my consultation i had asked the nutritionist if i could use the almond milk since i can't have milk and she said no and gave no reason other than if it says milk then no... Lol maybe she was having a bad day

Before my surgery I looked for the healthier versions of the foods I liked.. I love to eat too but I don't love what the bad foods have done to my health... It's a sacrifice to change our eating lifestyle but so worth the health rewards. I've had to re-learn to make non emotional decisions when it comes to food and say I don't want these chips instead of I can't have these chips. You have came soo far and it's never too late to start again.

Thanks everyone
The only reason I don't run to get checked out is because it's not constant... Which makes me think it's my allergies and it probably irritated my band.. But I did make an appt for the 11th just to be safe...
