  1. Only you control what goes in your mouth. For the longest time I tried to blame my wife for my poor choices. Don't buy it and I wont eat it, if its not in the house I wont go out and get it. Would it be easier if it wasn't around, yes it would. What it all comes down to is will power. And will power is like a muscle the more you use it the stronger it gets...


  2. I didn't mean to offend anyone, and he is a meat head, but if you read through the macho crap there is IMHO valid points about lifting heavy and building muscle, and that cardio is not the end all to working out.

    Douchey indeed. Condescending, obnoxious stereotypes. Clearly written by an egotistical "fitness" expert who feels he must bestow his vast knowledge on all of us dumb little women who don't possess the appropriate amount of converse or convex curves for his gratification because our "boyfriends" or "husbands" didn't teach us right. Blah.


  3. I like you to exercise your will power, the more you exercise it the stronger it gets. The first set I'd like you to do is the grocery store walk by. Any food you shouldn't eat just walk, by don't allow it in your basket, don't bring it in your home, If there is nothing bad in the house you cant make a bad choice. Also do sets of am I really hungry or eating out of boredom. This should get you started on the right track.


  4. Down 109 pounds in 10 months from 306 to 197, feeling and looking better than I have in years. I'm in control of everything in my life, good job, great family life, nice car and home, lots of friends. Why couldn't I control my weight without the sleeve? I feel like I cheated, my life is like a game of 9 pin no tap, I know you only got 9 pins but were gonna give ya a strike anyway. I guess its not so bad i just wish I could have done it on my own.


  5. When I sit down to eat 6 oz of dense Protein I get a full feeling after about 3 or 4 bites. I'll stop for a few minutes and have another bite or two and I'm full again this will continue for 35 to 45 minutes. Is this to long? How long does it take you to eat?

    I'm not sure when this happened but, I seem to have stopped chewing my food to a mush before I swallow. So I tried chewing it to mush again, It doesn't seem to make a difference in how long it takes to eat but I do seem to get hungry sooner when I chew my food more.

    Any thoughts, I'm 9 months out and down about 106 lb cw 199 lb on my way to 180.


  6. Wow....it's like Baywatch! Personally, I kept them at an A or B while I was using that site ......bigger than that is too big for my preference. Thanks for sharing Butter!!

    I didn't notice they had an A or B!!! I see I'm going to have to spend some time here checking all the styles out.


  7. I'm mildly stressed about this. My old scale died and I had to replace it. I haven't weighed myself in about 3 weeks.

    I bought a new scale and it has me 4lbs heavier than my old scale and 1 lb lighter than my doctors scale.

    Did I gain, or was my old dying scale unreliable?

    Just keep buying scales till you get a number you like.


  8. My wife had me in training for years, she would by it and I would eat it. I'd ask her, tell her, beg her, don't by it and i wont eat it, her response have some self control... I won't go to the store at 8 or 9 at night to get it, but I will walk to the pantry. As it turns out she was right, and I've told her so. How bad do you want it, self control, willpower, it like a muscle the more you use it the stronger it gets. I have weak moments, my goal is to make better choices, stop mindless eating, if I'm that hungry eat something good. Each moment, each hour, each day, week, month... Takem one at a time be strong.

    I'm probably the only other weirdo around here that liked the shakes! :P

    I can't think of much outside of cream based Soups (like cream of chicken) strained of course..

    Nope I likem too, I haven't found one I don't like.
