  1. I am about 11 months post op. Down 144-146 #. I have been at the same weight for about 3 weeks now. It's driving me crazy. Weight loss has slowed down dramatically. I am right there with you. My hunger is back, with a vengeance. Its harder to make the right choice when you feel like you are starving. It's really scary. I am constantly thinking I've some how stretched my sleeve, or messed it up somehow. I'm focusing on getting back on a very strict diet. Its not that I didn't know it would get harder later on in the game. But Im scared. Like you.

  2. And a huge thank you, too everyone for all the sweet comments. It's been a long time since I have felt beautiful, and then to hear it from anyone... Especially people who don't have to say it, it is very uplifting. I pray that all of you are doing great. If you're on the fence about surgery, stop wasting good time being miserable. This is an amazing life choice.

And if you are already on your sleeve journey, I hope we all have wonderful success! It's like we get a second chance to do it right! I'm not messing up this time!

  3. I can't believe it. Every day I'm sure I'm just going to stop losing. And then I lose 5 more pounds that week. This is the BEST decision I have ever made (with the exception of marrying my husband). I know that it will be a life long journey, and I couldn't be happier with it. My husband is now thinking of getting the surgery, after seeing my success. Which is so surprising, because he was against me having it in the beginning. But he came around, and has been my biggest fan and support.

    highest weight was 314

Day of surgery I weighed 308

    TODAY... 231!!

    It seems surreal.

  4. I am out of surgery, and through the awful pains after surgery. I was sure I was going to die from that pain. But I'm doing well now. I still can't get much down, so I'm taking it very very slow. But I'm still positive about the whole experience.

Anything you would like to share, tips, recipes, advice... Would all be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  5. I have had my mind set on having the bypass surgery for months. I met with the surgeon last week, and he suggested the sleeve. Ultimately it is my decision to make. But he said the results are pretty much the same, but with the sleeve you don't have as many complications. My biggest concern is that I don't want to be at this weight again. I am 25, height is 5'2 and I weigh 312#. I guess my question is, how did you know what surgery was best for you? And do you feel the results are comparable?

Thanks in advance for your help!

  6. I have had my mind made up for months, on which surgery I want to have. But last week I met with the surgeon, and he suggested the sleeve. Ultimately it is my decision. He just said the sleeve is just as effective as the bypass, but without all the complications. I just want to have the surgery that will be the best tool, long term. I am 25 years old, and I don't ever want to be at this weight again.

    Height of 5'2

    Weight 312

    BMI 54-55

Please offer any advice you have! Surgery date is scheduled for February 25th!

    Thanks!
