My surgery date was set for 7/2/13 Went to my preop appt today and was rescheduled because I was drinking the wrong Protein shakes (Atkins) and went on vacation last week and had Sno cones that weren't sugar free didn't meet the 15 pounds weight lost only lost 8. So tomorrow I have to start my diet over for 2 more weeks I'm not mad at anyone put myself for not following the list that was given to me. But I was soo mentally prepared for surgery tomorrow my new date is 7/16/2013

Congrats on your approval! My date is July 2!! Would have been sooner but had a vacation planned. My diet starts on June 19. I've been mentally preparing myself for it! Mind over Matter

Thanks guys! I spoke with the hosp and got everything taken care of. I've saving for this surgery all year just didn't want to have to delay it any more. But I'm good surgery day is still 7/2/13 830am ☺☺☺

So if my deductible is 300 but my out of pocket max is 1500. What I'm I looking at paying up front is what's confusing will the 800 the surgeon is charging me go towards that or will I have to pay him 800 and the hosp 1500?

Ok I my insurance pays 80/20 and I have out of pocket max of 1500. I have to pay surgeon 800. How does the hospital bill will I have to pay them upfront or what??? The most I can pay out is 1500 but I just want to know and they are busy and I've left voicemails no callbacks

Got my date. And I'm TERRIFIED of the 14 day diet. I was told by the nurse that you have to lose a certain amount are they will reschedule your surgery and you will have to do the PRE op diet all over again. How will I survive those 14 days of horror!!!!!

I was thinking the same about cooking in the room because of the price of food is soo high there character dinner for 4 is almost 150.00

Disney World. I'm afraid I'm going to be in pain from walking so much but I went to universal studios about 3 years ago and it wasn't so bad I paced myself I'm not big on riding stuff my husband is going to so the rides with the kids. I don't think there's any restrictions for the rides

I received my approval last week for surgery. I have a appointment tomorrow with my dr for pre op stuff and to pick a surgery date. I want to get it done ASAP but I have a Disney vacation planned from 6/24-6/29 is it a good idea to get this surgery before this trip. Meaning like getting it done may 30 by then ill be almost 30 days post op?

I have BcBS anthem and all you will need is that letter if medical necessity and psych veal and mines was approved in Monday of this week. Your BMI is enough were you prob want need any other co morbs

I had to speak with a Supv to get in done because they took so long been going back and fourth since March 26. I hope you get your letter soon.

I got the call from the coordinator saying I was approved today. Have to go down and discuss surgery dates next week I'm Nervous and excited. Emotional overload but joy
