I am so excited, had 2nd fill yesterday (now @ 5cc in 10cc band). Breakfast threw half my porridge away, got to work three and a half hours ago and still not hungry. This is a fantastic feeling, if this is green zone I LOVE IT.

Thanks all for the advice, I never considered chilli would be a slider. I should have known though coz it goes down real good (lol). I must agree I have learned that to get the best out of the band you have to work with it and I love you guys for keeping me on track.

Well it has been 8 weeks since my first fill, I can eat almost anything I want. Tonight I had a bowl of chilli con carne. On the plus side I have lost 36 lbs, my sister came to visit me and we took two weeks vacation, although I walked miles every day I did eat more. Roll on Monday till my 2nd fill, time to get this show on the road finally.

My band has been a very friendly fellow until today. Had my surgery 8 weeks ago and have never had a stuck episode until today. In an effort to eat more protein ( coz I am hungry all the time, had mr first fill three weeks ago) my darling husband made me two boiled eggs to take to work with me. Went into a meeting this morning that lasted four hours, came out ravenous, ate both boiled eggs way to fast and whoops!!! A mild stuck episode. So now I have some idea what the folks are talking about on this site.

So sorry for your loss, there are no words of consolation but you are in my prayers.

I know some people have never needed a fill, but those that do, what is the average wait between fills? Has anyone waited 8 weeks between 1st and 2nd fill?

My surgery date was the same as yours. I have a 10cc band. I had a fill three weeks ago but still no restriction I am counting calories and walking like crazy but I long to find the green zone, you wanted to let you know that your not alone. My doctor told me to go back in 8 weeks, I don't think I can hold on that long.

I am about eights weeks out of surgery, and I have not had the loss of a child to contend with but still I have not been perfect on this weight loss journey. The band will work if we want it too, and it is much easier to get back on track. Don't be too hard on yourself, we can change some things but not others, it was a hard day for you and that will never go away.

Down 25 Pounds...1st Fill Tomorrow!

I had my first fill on 4/26 my doctor said come back in 8 weeks. I have felt no restriction and I am hanging on for dear life with my dieting. Each day I get more hungry and it is getting difficult, I can also eat anything. I want to phone and ask him if I can come back after three weeks but I am scared he will think I am not trying hard enough. What do you guys think?

Question - How long would you let "stuck" conditions last
Kai-shek replied to Smiles4Di's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was just wondering if you got stuck when your band was less full. I have 3cc in a 10cc and I can eat anything and I know it is silly but I would welcome being stuck just once to know that the band is working for me. -
