  1. Well don't panic but def call your surgeon office They will get to the bottom of this.
  2. Well protein is the main thing we have to get in as u know. Try tuna, or if u can handle tofu. It has no flavor but you can flavor it any way u like. Or try adding unflavored protein powder to your veggies or crystal light , you won't notice but you will get the protein in. Hope this helps.
  3. Well the first two weeks out I was only on liquids. Then the third week I was on purée foods. I'm on week 4 and still on purée for another week. I do check my calories on the purée diet and am getting around 800 or 900 a day. My Nut said that about right.
  4. My weight loss has been unreal. Lost 33 pounds in a month including the pre op diet.
  5. I am very close to that category. I have bcbs , my BMi was 39 most of the time during the six month prep. I did gain a few pounds toward the end of the 6 months and got my BMi to 40. They discovered I had sleep apnea so I think that helped me get approved. If you have a BMi between 35 to 39 you need to have some sort of condition pertaining to the weight. Heart disease, sleep apnea, diabetes Hope this helps
  6. I was led to believe that any carbonation was banded for life. Something about the carbonation irritating the sleeve and causing weight gain.
  7. Defiantly call ur doctor. Sounds like a gallblater I wouldn't fool around though.
  8. Well keep things small. U won't be able to eat more than 4 oz. cottage cheese (1 percent) works for me. Plus non sweetend baby food goes Down good. I had trouble with oatmeal.
  9. Curious about this. I am 2 days on purée foods and on my calorie app says I'm only getting in about 800 calories. Is that too little? I can't fit more, I'm too full already. (Never thought I say that...)
  10. That sounds like a good guideline. I'll try it. Thanks
  11. Tomorrow is the day I can start to add purée. One question , my surgeon says only 4 oz at a time. I'm assuming 4 0z three meals. He wants no snacking. Am I going to be hungry? I should of asked if the protein shakes are still allowed between meals.
  12. Ya. The stall is normal. I lost 26 pounds in three weeks , one of those weeks was pre op and I have stalled for 5 days now. Totally normal. The body has been through some shock and is trying to heal itself and is holding onto the weight right now. My surgeon didn't even care about my weight loss.... Yet. The weight will come off in the next months That's the real test.
  13. It's okay woman can contribute. Lol
  14. Ok I hear that after a few months after sleeved men and women loss hair. This disturbs me. I am 10 days post op and I little hair I have left on my head I will like to hold on to. Any supplements can slow this?
  15. Well I was sleeved 6/19 and since the pre op diet I lost 26 . The last 3 days however the scale hasn't moved. Not complaining though as I see alot of people gained some weight in the hospital. I didn't but now might be starting my stall. We just have keep moving !
  16. Well I had some sugar free pudding tonight. No prob there. But I out just a small amount of whipped cream on it. The can said only 1 gram sugar. Well big mistake. Two minutes later...diarrahea! Not to sick but I guess that's what dumping is....anybody else have trouble with whipped cream?
  17. My surgeon told me today I can start swimming asap. I guess everyone is fmdifferent. Could be the early they stitched u up.
  18. Good attitude. I can start puree foods next wed. Can't wait!
  19. Thought I am getting me water in. Could be the problem. I do a little dizzy when I get fast after sitting awhile. It goes away quickly though.
  20. No temperature. Feel great otherwise.
  21. In a routine test today my resting heartbeat was 110. Sort of high. One week out of surgery and when I see my surgeon tomorrow i will mention it. Any reasons?
  22. 3 weeks! Just in time to go back to work! Blahhhhh
  23. I am one week out and actually went to the gym today to walk lightly of the treadmill for about 20 mins. Wondering though this time of year I like to go Ina pool and swim a little. How long do I have to wait before I can swim? I can slower but no baths or pools yet
  24. Exactly one week out and doing great. Hungry , yes but down 26 total so far. Can't wait till next week when I can add eggs and cottage cheese.
  25. I just started week 2 post op. I agree I am so tired of the protein shakes. I can't wait to week 3 When I can add cottage cheese and eggs But I can't argue with my weight loss so far. Pre op diet weight -293, today's weight -267.
