Anyone order/receive the new Fitbit Flex yet? It's on back order from Amazon and Fitbit is out and won't be shipping more for 8 weeks. Would love to hear if anyone got one and how they like it.

Gained 10 lbs also. It was Christmas and the stress from the upcoming surgery. My Dr says it happens a lot! Good news is I'm down 39 lbs since surgery and not looking back!

Great news for all Lap Bandsters! The more education there is about this procedure, the easier it is for us all!

Doing well and finally comfortable living with this change. I still think about it often, not sure if that will ever change. The 1st month I told 2 close "couple" friends of ours, as we dine ow itch them often - now wishing I had just avoided them for a couple more weeks! They constantly ask how I'm "feeling", which is well intentioned, but annoying to me for some reason! Most of our friends don't know and I'm not feeling any compulsion to tell them, as I'm very private about my health. I've lost 38 lbs (no pre op diet) with 3 fills totaling 5cc's. my Dr. Is very happy, so I'm just rolling along!

Your blood is thinner now. You will bleed from every little thing so be careful. I did stomach shots of blood thinners for 10 days and the internal bleeding - bruising - was so bad my ENTIRE stomach area was totally purple. Don't be alarmed; it just means the drug is doing what it should.

10 months ago when I started the approval process my Aetna policy required a BMI of 40 or 35 w co morbidities AND 6 months of a medically supervised diet. I completed the 6 months and I had a 40 and high blood pressure. Aetna denied me twice - the first time saying my blood pressure was controlled so it wasn't medically necessary. The 2nd time, on appeal, because they said I couldn't document 3 years of being obese. My Dr scheduled a "peer to peer" review next. Inexplicably they reversed their decision a few days before the scheduled review. No problems since then. Moral of the story is to persevere - they hope you go away if they throw obstacles in your way.
