My surgery is scheduled for Thursday. I'm excited but very nervous. How many of you gained weight in the anticipation of surgery? I have gained 10 pound upon my decision. I am more disgusted with myself now than I was when I finally admitted I needed help. I told my family tonight about my decision. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. But of course I'm blessed with all good wishes. I will continue to come back to this site for encouragement as I begin my journey.

Congratulations! My surgery was Monday. I had to do a 5 day liquid diet preop and lost 10 pounds during that process. Don't dwell on the past, focus on your goals and things will go just fine. Good luck on Thursday!

I too have gained Although I am not required (by my doctor) to do a preop diet I have been doing one. I have lost 11 lbs. Sadly I am going to New York this weekend with my stepdaughter so I have that feeling......... there will be lots of good food. My surgery is Tuesday the 14th GULP. I am having so many different emotions! Good luck and keep us informed!

Gained 10 lbs also. It was Christmas and the stress from the upcoming surgery. My Dr says it happens a lot! Good news is I'm down 39 lbs since surgery and not looking back!
