  1. I had fill #4 since this past February and I am still chasing that elusive 'sweet spot' I am beginning to wonder if it really exist. I called my doctor's office to set up an appointment for another fill (currently I have 5cc's in a 10cc band) My weight has been stuck at this same spot for months now the thing is the inches are coming off but the scale won't move (darn it)
  2. I love watching those shows, helps to remind me why I got the band in the first place.
  3. Hello JB, Congrats on getting your surgery and your weight loss so far. This period after banding is what I have heard others refer to as "Bandster Hell" being hungry and not having a fill yet. I noticed where you mentioned about getting an adjustment when you meet with your doctor on the 4th, FYI, most doctors wait at least 6 weeks before doing the first adjustment (so don't get your hopes up too much) I have heard of doctors putting partial fills in at the time of surgery but never within a week or two of banding. . . . Good luck on your post-op visit and let us know how you are doing.
  4. My doc said no soda, and that is good enough for me. I am self-pay so I am not about to do anything to jeapordize the success of my band. Gosh I do miss my ice cold Pepsi . . . . .
  5. I usually have a packet of Weight Control oatmeal (the cinamon flavoured one is really good) or yogurt for breakfast.
  6. The absolute nerve of some people. Who the hell was talking to her anyway ? ? ?
  7. I would never even think of it.
  8. While I was researching the surgeon my Primary Care Physican recommended I came across this surgeon. The more I read about him the more impressed I became with his experience. My part-time job at Lane Bryant I also came across a few patients who had great experience with him, and when I met him I just know that I wanted him to take care of me (I have no regrets at all about my decision)
  9. 3 so far and no restriction . . . . yet. I have a 10cc band
  10. georgia girl, you are one hell of a lady! I say that because not many of us are willing to re-examine our past actions and admit if/when we make a mistake. As someone who was not born in this country I do speak with an accent so I do find it necessary to alter my speech pattern depending on my audience. When I am with my friends and family my speech is totally different than when I am at school or work, I am not pretending I am adapting.
  11. What's wrong with altering your manner of speech depending on the audience you are speaking to? IMHO all these Oprah haters is just green. I don't know her personally so saying I love or hate her would be as ignorant as saying she "talks white"
  12. I have never been a breakfast person either, everything taste like toothpaste to me early mornings. If I force myself I can eat something by 10 - 10:30 aam. And then lunch around 2 - 2:30, but shhhhhh don't tell my doc.
  13. No to the refund of past payments, but I don't think this man should me made to pay child support for a child that is not his.
  14. Is there different kind/size of band for Gays & Lesbians? If there isn't then I don't see the relevance in telling your Doctor/Surgeon.
