    Sugar and heart palp

I'm eight weeks. I do fine with fruit but bad carbs also make me sweat and really sleepy. I had my gallbladder out too so that could be part of it.

You're welcome! Good luck to you!
  4. I have had a completely wonderful revision. I'm down 35 pounds post op and I am eight weeks out. It really depends on why the band didn't work for you. Do you need dumping to force you to eat correctly? If not and you think you can make good choices most of the time you should do well with the sleeve.

    EGD results

Most hernias are repaired during sleeve surgery. They are pretty common. I had gastritis and it did not delay my surgery. They just put me on a ppi and carafate pre op to help heal up the stomach lining. Try to relax until morning :-)
  6. At eight weeks out I can drink water easily but it was hard in the beginning.
  7. For some reason plain water is more difficult in the beginning. Try asking some crystal light, sf kool aid, or mio and see if that helps. I also mix in some syntrax nectars crystal sky flavor for protein. It blends with the tastes from the other stuff and it doesn't change the texture because it's not thick. If you don't have one yet pick up a blender bottle.

    Hungry

I would talk to your doc or nut about this. My doc progressed me a little early because I was doing so well but I wouldn't have done it without asking.

    Regrets!

Thanks. I think I'm considered a but of a slow loser but I am happy with it. I'm a revision so I was warned that could happen. Good luck to you!

    Regrets!

Hi. We have the same pre op stats in terms of height and weight. I was 240 day of surgery. I am down to 205 and will be 8 weeks post tomorrow. I had no pre op diet. I am really happy I did this and I have no problems getting anything in at this point including water.
  13. I was revised in may. Zero complications and weight loss is good so far.

    Morning Mucus

Nexium is one. Omeprazole is actually genetic for Prilosec. It works better for me.

    Morning Mucus

Have you the taking a ppi before you go to bed? You can get omeprazole over the counter and it works pretty well.

    Going backwards

This happens. It is irritating but normal.

Do Not Take PPIs if at all Possible

Reflux coming up into the esophogus can also lead to Barrett's esophagus which is a pre cancerous condition. If it causes you to throw up all the time it can also lead over time to a severely weakened gag reflex. I went for several years without treating mine and things got very bad. If you need a ppi take it.
  19. Thank you do much for sharing this. You look great!

Honestly, how much do you vomit?

It is not like with the band. Not addicted frequently. I used to throw up a couple times a day with my band. Only twice since I was sleeved but it is vomit not just food.
