Try writing all your questions down so you don't forget them. I wish I had by the time I saw the surgeon I forgot most of them lol. I agree we'll all be looking great and yes I think sticking by and supporting one another is a wonderful idea.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I'm just starting out. I had my first appointment with the surgeon and was told I had to be on a 6 month supervised diet as well, ugh! But I'm willing to do anything to get the surgery so I'll do it:-) I had a friend going through this with me but she found out that her BMI wasn't quite high enough so now I'm a lone ranger in this new adventure but with the help of this forum I sure don't feel alone and that's all that matters!

Yeah you're probably right! After I wrote that I was bummed I started thinking to myself that it could be worse, my insurance company doesn't have to pay for this at all. There are more people worse off than I am that are paying out of pocket for everything so I should be thanking my lucky stars. I'm sure time will fly, I have appointments and support groups to go to while I'm on the diet.

On the bright side I absolutely love my surgeon and his staff they are so nice

That's great to hear. Are you in a lot of pain or is it pretty mild? I realize that everyone handles pain differently but it's always great to hear other people's experiences.

Wow! Your surgery is right around the corner! It's hard not to obsess about it lol. I try to only get on here once a week but lately it's been about every night. Thanks for all the advice and good luck with your surgery.

So I have my first appointment on Friday and was wondering if time starts going faster after the first appointment? It's seemed like time has stood still getting to this point. I guess I'm so ready and excited to start my new life that I want it done now lol

Oh haha! How funny! I'm not from Peoria so I don't know it very well. I live about an hour and a half away.

Yeah, I am! Lol. Where is Methodist, is that in Peoria as well? I'm so excited to go through everything. I have my first support group meeting on April 9th and my first meeting with the surgeon on April 19th so everything seems to be moving along pretty quick.

I'm just starting out so far I've done the mandatory seminar and the bod pod. My first appointment with the surgeon is April 19th which I'll meet my surgeon, the nutritionist, and get blood work done.

Yes, definitely having a weight that begins with a 1 will be amazing!!!

I can't wait until I can bend over and tie my shoes without being out of breath I can't wait until I can shop for cute clothes at stores like Rue 21 I can't wait until I can have no problem keeping up with my 4 year old I can't wait until I'm able to wear skinny jeans I can't wait to actually wear shorts and tank tops when I leave my house I can't wait to wear non-granny bathing suits I can't wait to be able to fit in the bras they actually sell at Victoria Secrets without having to special order them Hell I just can't wait to be skinny! :D :D :D
