This is common. Have you tried laying with your hips and legs elevated? It allows the gas to release the other direction and reduces pain in your upper body. Walk walk walk...

Ask your doctor? Not something to mess around with dear. Keep us posted!
Went to see the NP on Monday. She thinks I'm fine. Believes it could be Constipation or a muscle spasm. Here it is Thursday and I'm still having some discomfort. No reflux, vomiting or stuck episodes. No trouble swallowing and no coughing. Just this awkward pressure feeling in my left abdominal area and near ribcage. I've used milk of Mag and Miralax and I've had bowel movements. I'm annoyed I kind of feel bloated too:(

Good to know. It's been better the last two days. Called my docs office and explained. They felt like I was ok because there are no other concerning signs and its not too bothersome. I figure its either Constipation or swelling from my cycle...

I have a question and need some help. My exercise from my Fit bit is not showing up on My Fitness Pal. I have checked and they are still synced. Any ideas what it could be or how I could fix it.Tell me more about your fit bit. I'm thinking about getting one.

Only off and on yesterday. It's better today. It's lower in my abdomen. Almost like menstrual cramps. Has anyone experienced a change in menstrual cramping after surgery?

Having a dull ache/pain on my left upper abdominal area today. So worried that its a slip... Haven't had any complications that would cause a slip that I'm aware of anyway...
I'm so worried!

Thanks. My port is on my right side. I'm really worried about it now.

I've been experiencing a dull pain/ache in my upper left abdominal area today. In my mind its band related. I had a fill ast week but haven't felt like there have been complications. A couple of stuck episodes because my bites were too big but that was a couple of days ago.

I found a great one this week that a friend ( who is a trainer) recommended. Tracy Anderson Method. Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis. It's a little awkward at first but the sessions are short but you REALLY feel it. Some of her first videos are in the bins at Walmart for low low prices!

Are you eating at least 3 oz of Protein first and not drinking 20 min before and after meals?I kinda have the same problem. I've had 2 fills now and I'm still hungry... I get full faster and with less food, but then I'm hungry1-2 hrs later. My Dr said that it can take up to 8 fills before you hit the green zone. I'm hoping it doesn't take that long!!! And I keep losing and gaining the same 5lbs for the last 2 wks... If you feel like something is wrong, call your Dr! Good luck!!!

Thank you all for the helpful posts. I'm thankful for LBT. Its nice to get encouragement and support. Friends who are not banded usually have good intentions but its just not the same...

I really need to have someone hide my scale. Its become my morning ritual. Use the restroom, step on the scale. I told myself if the number went down or stayed the same then I was still doing well. But...it has budged and I feel like I;m doing fine so I better stop. I don't want to get discouraged and I'm committed to getting healthier.i was told that tea is fine as long as you are getting fluids, my doc also told me that i will experience plateaus just like i did before my band (that is Monday!) so maybe that is all it is, try and have a family member hide your scale and dont get on it daily....it really helps with the dispair! LOL

I agree. Even Crystal Light is too sweet for me. I drink lots of water but lately I have been on the Decaf tea kick. I gave up caffeine months ago so when I go out to a restaurant I ALWAYS order ice water with a lime (I don't like lemons). I tried buying limes and using them at home to flavor my water but it wasn't the same. I also like this water called MetroMint. Its mostly sold in health food stores I think. Its very good and there are several flavors including chocolateWhat about Water with a few drops of lemon juice?
I don't mean to split hairs here...I just trying to figure out what is best for my body and what may or may not affect weight loss. I was having trouble getting all my Water in so I started using the sugar-free flavor packets. I feel like its too much artificial sweetener for some reason, so I've been adding a few drops of lemon juice instead. I'm only 3 weeks post-op, so I'm not freaking out about weight loss as I'm still healing.
My doc permits the flavor packets, but he says caffeinated drinks do not count as part of the minimal 65oz I need.
Regarding the straight-forward posts from successful veteran binders...I appreciate their comments. I come to this forum looking for helpful information, not to have my emotional needs met.

I am definitely going to go get one of those. Sounds great! There is a pitcher at Bed, Bath and Beyond that holds cut fruit in the middle in a cylinder. You add Water to the pitcher and the fruit flavors your water. Just got done making one with strawberries, raspberries, and pineapple. It's awesome! In the summer it's very refreshing when you put in cucumbers!

I only check inches when I see the fitness instructor and I will see her again on Tuesday as well. This is normal. You may not lose every weight every week. Have you checked your inches?
-
I'm almost two months post op and the weight has been coming off fairly steady. Until the last two weeks. I go for another follow up Tuesday, two weeks from my last, and I haven't lost any weight since then.
I don't feel like I've eaten the wrong foods... I increased my exercise for just walking to walking, using my elliptical and circuit training twice a week. So I really thought that would boost the loss.
I've been drinking more Decaf tea in place of some of my Water. Does that make a difference? Could my band be too tight?
Am I just over-reacting?
-
I like to drink unsweetened Decaf tea during the da and Water at night or during a workout. Does decaf tea dehydrate us? I can drink 64oz of tea and I'm still not running to the restroom... I just get so tired of water and I'm not big on the Mio's or Crystal light add-ins...
Diet Coke was my drug, er...drink of choice pre-band. Sometimes I miss it but what I do not miss are the caffeine headaches I would get when I didn't get my fix.
-
So sorry best wishes for a speedy recovery. May i ask how you knew your band had slipped? What were your symptoms? What do you and your doc think caused the slippage?
Sorry for so many ?s... Banded 1/29 and still trying to be ultra careful.

No they didn't.. I called again and she thought I was possibly having a gall bladder attack so I went for a sonogram. Nothing there. I'm actually feeling much much better. I think I was having a food intolerance or over eating or something? Anyway I'm feeling better thank goodness. My weight loss has slowed a lot. I have an appointment tomorrow. It's been a month since I've had a fill... I'm not sure if I need one or not. My portion sizes have gotten a little too big...trying to get it back under control.
