  2. If the band is to tight you may not lose weight , I would ask the surgeon
  3. I bought the Blend Tec , researched them both, both amazing machines there wasn't that much different between the two, I have two friends that bought the vitamix and just love it , my Blend tec is an amazing machine as well will do just about anything , it was a very good investment
  4. I can totally relate with that, do what you need to do to chill out , tea is awesome sometimes a good movie or book does the trick as well, I hope you feel better soon
  5. Going to the gym is one of the best ways you can reduce stress , it does wonders for me when I am stressed or angry.
  6. As a newly banded , I look to the people like yourselves who have had great success with the band , the first thing my clinic told me was " restriction" is a four letter word in their office , look for satisfied and 3-4 hours between meals, so that's what I have been doing and 7 weeks since surgery I work out daily and make sure I watch my band portions and I am down 30 pounds and counting . I feel great and hope for continued success

  8. I discovered today that pecans ....also a slider yikes! I counted them in my daily totals but I don't think I eill be eating them again
  9. Great to know thank you, not a huge fan of popcorn but wouldn't mind a bit to munch while at the movies
  10. Do any of you on occasion have popcorn, how does your band handle it? I have been told its a slider

  12. Burpees , squats and lunges take care of all of those areas

I never thought those words would come out of my mouth , banded nearly 6 weeks ago and thankfully I am rarely hungry so far trouble is I don't thing I am meeting minimum nutrition , I get between 5-7 hundred cals per day lean proteins mostly , question how much do all of you eat ? and how can I get more protein in? , thanks
  14. for sure call the doctor, I was told as long as I didn't have a fever it was good

  16. I have tried it but it just takes so long to chew I gave up on it
  17. Heating pad was a life saver for me with the shoulder gas pains, and like the others said walk even small slow steps
  18. Its perfectly normal to have second thoughts and the choice is yours to make but for me personally I did it on my own a thousand times and regained it all back a thousand times. I am a newly banded but I can tell you that so far so good and the difference is I am no longer craving food I hardly think about it which makes a HUGE difference , diets leave me hungry and cranky band so far not at all down 27 pounds since pre op with out feeling deprived or hungry.
  19. Pre -op sucks for sure, I made my shakes more palpable by adding instant decafe coffee to them then they were like an iced coffee it also helped to drink them super cold . What brand are you drinking ?
  20. Happens all the time, when I was on mushies my MIL offered me FUDGE! she said well its soft and easy to chew UGH!

  22. I am almost one moth post op and could slip on a pair of capri pants I have that I couldn't get over my thighs in July!!! so happy! down 23 lbs , I am so excited
  23. I believe eggs are on the soft protein stage, I am on solids and just starting to introduce eggs
