  1. Hello all,

I was wanting to know if anyone else has had the same reaction I am having when I am hungry? It is almost a burning in the pit of my stomach like if I don't eat immediately I am going to kill someone. LOL. I feel like a pregnant woman sometimes. I have had my band for almost 3 years now and have done very well. I have lost 102 lbs. to date and I feel great. I know that at times the band can feel a little to tight but I have learned to work with it.

  2. Done surgery I had lost 100lbs. Gained back 15lbs. With muscle a little bit of booty back. I still see the same chunky girl I was until I see pictures. I love the Camara. Lol. You look great, I am interested in knowing how much weight you have lost?

  3. Okay all I am in desperate need of some consultation. I have hit my ultimate goal of weight loss gone from 229lbs to 135lbs in almost 2 years and would like to stay where I am however, I feel as though I need an unfill asap I have already had one a few months back and it feels like it continues to get tighter as I lose weight. Some days I can eat a little more than usual (1/2 to 1Cup) but then I have days like today where I can't even keep liquids down. Does anyone have any advice on what they do until they get into the dr.s? I have an appt. next Friday but darn it I need to eat and I hate this feeling of being uncomfortable.

  4. I have worked out through my entire band journey and have found no problems when I work out however, I have really gotten to a point where I can't eat very much and I fear that my workouts are draining me of energy and I get dizzy when I stand up fast. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and is it normal. I do more weight lifting now than cardio (15 min) because I am at a good weight as of right now. I have lost 84 lbs. In a little over a year in a half. I do take my multi-vitamins and I eat about 1/4 cup to 1/2 a cup of food when I do eat.

  5. I did not tell anyone except my long time boyfriend of 9 yrs. Not even my children know because if they did everyone would know by now. Lol. It took a while to get to the green zone so it was an easy transition from eating healthy and working out a lot to not being able to eat hardly at all. I would try to avoid eating with people that don't know, I have been criticized by a lot of friends about my lack of appetite and how I am starving myself and/or share with your husband and it won't look so bad when your just picking at your food. Soup it always a good alternative when ordering.

  6. @ lisacaron, thank you so much. I think that is the best advise I have received in a while, I will start liquid tomorrow and see how it goes. It makes sense what you said about mechanics I do tend to not pay attention to the size of bites I am taking and how fast I am eating. I am embarrassed to say this but I go to restaurants a lot with family and friends and I swear everyone looks at me like a crazy person due to the lack of food I eat. I try to eat at a normal persons pace and it just doesn't work for me. Nobody knows about my lapband other than my husband.

  7. Okay so I am not complaining because I could not be happier about my weight loss journey however, I believe my band may be getting a little to tight during weight loss, I have not had a fill in 6 months. I am hoping to hear from some of you that may have gone/or are going through this. Most of the time I can hardly anything. I try to make my self eat because I know that I have to, I have tried several different food items and nothing really goes down very well other than Soups and malt-o-meal. I am a little paranoid that something might be wrong and I am not reading the signs. I do hiccup a lot during meals and I burp up mucus/saliva. I called my doctors office to speak to the nurse to see if maybe I need a slight unfill but I am afraid of not being in the green zone. I am hoping this is a normal part of being in the green zone and need to get used to it. ? Thanks for the input ahead of time. :-)

  8. Thank you all for your input. I think I will stick it out for this month and if it still feels like this by my next appt. Maybe I will ask for a .25cc decrease. I must say that I definitely see the difference from being in the green zone and not. I have lost 4 lbs. since Friday.

  9. Okay all after a year of never getting near the green zone I need help. Due to a leak in my band I never got proper restriction, now I have been getting fills since the correction surgery. I am 5cc in a 11cc band since last Friday and boy can I feel it. I can drink a liquids very slowly and sometimes it causes a little discomfort, I have only been a able to tolerate pudding, chicken noodle Soup (mostly broth), mashed potatoes, and small bowl of Cereal anything else I eat hurts me I can feel a pain in my esophagus) I didn't know if this is how it would feel since I've never been close to this feeling before. Hoping someone can shine some light on the matter whom is in the green zone. On the up side there is no way I will gain weight. Lol. Btw I have pushed myself to eat so I get some Protein in my system, especially because I work out a lot.

  10. After a lot of failed attempts at this lap band thing. I think I hit my green zone as of yesterday, 5cc in an 11cc band. The only question I have for you is do you actually get feel full our is it that you literally can't eat anymore. I too can only take a few bites at a time and it is almost painfully uncomfortable so I stop. Drinking also feels very filing. I have only eaten mushy foods I can't even imagine how bread or hard foods are going to be like.

  11. Well all has passed and it was a leak in the port. I had surgery the day after Christmas. It was not as bad as the initial surgery. I got a really bad stomach bug a week later but all seems to be going well as of now. My Dr. Filed my bad to 3cc during surgery and I am going to see him in a week. I am already feeling restriction that I hadn't felt in a long time. I am down to 180.1lbs. as of this morning. Yay! To sickness. Lol.
