  1. Hello I am 193 lbs. 5'2" and female. I came across your profile and I wanted to tell you that you are such an inspirations. My goal weight is 150lbs. I too work out quite a bit and find it very rewarding. You said on a few of your posts that it has taken you some time to lose this amount of weight, about how long has it been? I got my surgery on 01/21/2013 and have lost 35lbs to date, would you say that is pretty regular. Anyhow just wanted some advice from someone who has been where...

    Summer Challenge-June!

    At a stand still I am down to 193lbs. I have not lost much weight at all in the last couple weeks. Got a fill on Friday feeling like I am in the green zone. Oh yeah!!. Here we go...

Exercise goal for June~ start Zumba class Personal goal for June~ hit the green zone and fit in size 13 pants. Date banded~1-21-13 Total weight loss since banding/pre op diet~ 0 pre-op, 33 lbs. Post-op Favorite Summer Activity- swimming and summer night get togethers.

    January 2013 Bandsters!

    Head hunger is the worst. Since my last post I feel like I can over come it, sticking to my salads, wraps and other low calorie options. (Most of the time) I am definitely not to tight, to tell you the truth I could probably use .5 more as well. Still working on the whole half cup of food thing, it is hard to stop eating so much.

    January 2013 Bandsters!

    Okay everyone I need some input. I got my fourth fill a week ago, I believe I am up to 7cc in an 11cc band and I definitely feel restriction however my head hunger feels like it is taking over at times. Last night I ate four hot wings and about 20 French fries from Wing Stop. ... Boy did I regret it, I literally made myself feel so sick (upset stomach, chest pressure) So my question is does anyone have these problems this far into our journey? Or am I alone and need to seek help?

  11. Yay to me I am finally at 199.4 lbs. It has been quite the journey so far. I was banded on 1-21-13 and I am down 29 lbs. I am hoping for more success in the next couple months. Vegas here I come!

    Thank you guys so much. I love having this forum. There's not a lot of people I am honest with about my weight so having you all is a blessing.
  14. I have never been much of a binge eater however, I do have my issues with cake and ice cream, for some reason I can't let it go. I haven't really eaten it much since the surgery only at birthday party and Easter but I had a piece yesterday and today. Throwing it in the trash immediately. I have a question for all of my fellow banders out there. I am having a huge problem with portion control. My doctor says only eat a quarter cup of food, I can't even imagine eating only a quarter cup of food. On a regular I eat about 2 cups of food, I know this is really bad. The other day for the first time I ate a whole 6 inch. Subway sandwich, what is wrong with me. HELP! I just know I have stretched my pouch. :-( I am still losing weight however I don't think it's because of the band I think it is because I work my butt off in the gym.

    I had my surgery by Dr. Tillquist. I love him, he has been a great Dr. , although he may not be the warmest person in the world he is up front and doesn't beat around the corner. I got my surgery on 01-21-13. When did you get yours?

    need a liquid diet day

    I am right there with you. I was banded in January and I am feeling out of control. I am still sticking to portion control (for the most part) but it is what I am eating that is bad. We eat out a lot and I want what my family gets and so I do. I read the article from up above and I think that is exactly what I need to get going again.

    January 2013 Bandsters!

    Babykins529: Thank you so much you made me feel so much better when I read this. I am happy to say that over the last few days I have lost a few more. I am down 21 lbs. YAY!!! Finally over the 20 lbs. hump. I just need the extra encouragement every now and again. Thanks again. :-)
