Another update with pics. Tomorrow will be 11 months officially and im down 131 pounds. I honestly didnt want to lose this much or think that i would lose this much. I feel that im skinny a little to skinny but i would rather be skinny and healthy then fat and miserable. I wont complain but im in a better place. If your in a rut....remember you will get there. Ive been at the same place that your at now. Man about losing weight so slow' date=' aggravated with the diet, smells from food make you think about eating like you used to.... and the thoughts about the maintaining.....but hey its worth it right? You will get there just as i did even when i didnt think that i could and it was really hard.Have a great week.

Hi everyone... Newbie here I'm a 25yr male from SoCal who started at 304 right before my 2week pre-op liquid diet... I weighed 287 just minutes before going into the operating room late Monday 8/12 afternoon... I weighed myself today and I'm down 11lbs.. I love seeing the numbers drop but is that normal? I'm really excited but also want to make sure I'm doing well. I've been drinking Water all day... Having 2-3 muscle milk lights daily' date=' taking multi Vitamins. I know TMI but I had my 1st bowel movement today... Wasn't much at all. Anyone else experience this?[/quote']It's completely normal
I dropped 15 lbs in 5 days post op.

Do you have any before and after photos? Who was your surgeon? What kind of Pre-op diet were you on?
I do. Do you have instagram? Mine is xscillax
I went through southwest bariatrics surgeon group with Dr. Nancy Marquez. I was on a 800/ calorie high Protein low carb diet.

Do not reschedule!! You will be fine. Everyone is different. Just go and see how it is for you. The worst thing that could happen is you have to reschedule for a different day if you can't tolerate the pain. Some people feel nothing!!' You can do this . It's worth it in the long run. It doesn't hurt to try. I will say a prayer for you. . Let me know how it goes. Just make sure to take whatever you take for pain like ibuprofen or Tylenol an hour before and make sure you eat something!! Good luck.
I just hate painnnnnn lol. But you're right! I'm just gonna do it. Thank you for the prayer I will def let you know how it goes! Also, I forgot to answer you but I had my surgery 7/23/13

I'm sorry your going Monday??! I just saw that. You have to take the Cervidil the night before and the day of to "prime" the cervix. I'm sorry. The paracervical block they should be able to do in the office though. Just so you know that's a shot. But after the first one your really don't feel it. Are you sure you want a Paragard?? You can have heavier periods' date=' and they can last longer?? Have you had surgery yet?[/quote']
I think ill reschedule then lol. Yes I def want the paragard. I want my periods every month lol It lets me know I'm healthy with my cycle.

Hi guys. I'm pre-op and having survey Nov1st!! I was just creeping on all of threads and came across this one and thought maybe I could help you guys that have not had the IUD put in yet! I have worked in OB/GYN for 11 years. You can ask your doctor for a medication called Cervidil. It helps dilate your cervix so it's not so hard to get the IUD in. Or you can can ask for a paracervical block as well. Last but not least ask for the good stuff!! Hope that helps. Good luck.
Thank you!!!! I will def be asking lol

I had never given birth vaginally so when I had my mirena inserted my cervix went from zero to holy s&t. I cried it hurt so bad. They offered me no sedation or pain relief other than ibuprophan. You may want to ask for some pain meds. For before & after.
allons-y
I have given birth but via c-section so I'm worried about this too. I won't be getting the mirena, I want no hormone base BC and that lasts a longgggg time lol

I'm curious if anyone has the paragard IUD? If so, do you like it? How was the pain during insertion? I'm going on Monday and im scared! Lol

I'm slowly looking into plastic surgery, I was sleeved in July and IF I do need plastic surgery (my arms are huge right now, I HATE them. ) I will wait a year and see how they look. I'm exercising vigorously, strength training, keeping hydrated and moisturized. Im 23, I have a child who was born via c-section and ive been over weight my entire life. So I might need a TT and arm lift...and maybe breast augmentation. Anyhoo, my question is, has anyone had surgery done by a plastic surgeon in Austin or close by cities? If so, how was your experience? My last resort is Mexico.

It sounds like you have no trouble with fluids' date=' what about adding in a Protein shake or two throughout your day? I would think that would be an easier way to get some more calories (and Protein too) into your day rather than trying to force feed yourself more food.[/quote']What kind of Protein Shake? My stomach is very sensitive I tried making my own with almond milk and I got dumping lol. But I do like Isopure rtd 0 carb drinks..its 40 grams of protein.

Hey y'all!!! I had my surgery 7/23/13, so a little over 2 1/2 months and I am down 51 lbs. I feel great! But....I'm stuck in my 2nd stall! My first one lasted 3 longggggg weeks! I tracked my food and I am only getting in 500-600 calories a day. I can't get in anymore because I'm not hungry or if I eat another bite I get nauseated and throw up any advice on what I should do to over come this stall? I drink A LOT of Water, about 100 oz a day so I know I don't have to up my Fluid intake. Help!

I am submitting to BCBS fed tomorrow and I am so nervous.I had to get a letter from my OB as well.
Did you hear anything yet?
Good luck!!! They were really fast and easy with mine. My patient advocate submitted mine 5/28... it was approved 5/29 but I called the insurance company 5/31 and that's when they informed me when it was approved.

Good luck!!! I pray you have a fast approval! Mine was approved in 24 hrs.

This is so weird to read. I am about a week late and a week from surgery! Preg test says negative so I am with you hoping and praying it hurrys and shows up!Sending prayers your way! I was also in a bad car accident and my biggest injury was what I got from the seatbelt. I developed a hematoma on my lower abdominal area and so I'm Curious if the trauma affected my cycle or something. :/
